• Oils
• Cardio
• Charcoal
•Infrared sauna (45 mins)
• 5 min break
• Infrared sauna (30 mins)
+ lots of remineralisation and hydration
Week 1 was hard
I was very irritable in the evenings
And for a few days I felt like I had a huge hangover
but last few days I've started to experience strong mental clarity
interesting & exciting
Read this if you’re a man trying to improve his life but don’t where to begin
This is a true story that happened to me recently…
---
Its Monday morning and I stumble into the kitchen and open up pantry…
HORROR
I'm out of coffee.
My car broke down on the weekend and won't be ready until THURSDAY.
I need coffee ASAP but there's no Uber eats where I live.
Shit. I open Google maps
“Coffee shop near me”
There's one 2kms away. Too far to walk but I remember I have a bicycle in the shed.
Google maps tells me it will take 6 mins to cycle
HA!
I'm a 30 something year old male in peak physical shape. It won’t take me 6 minutes. Google's "suggested times" are for normies. I'll be there in under 4 minutes.
I set my stopwatch and start peddling.
When I get to the coffee shop and notice I'm sweating.
And to be honest that felt harder than expected.
I look at my stopwatch.
NINE MINUTES?
That can't be right.
I shrug it off and drink my coffee.
Tuesday morning.
Same deal. I get on the bike but this time I have my headphones in and I’m BLASTING Metallica. Lets go.
I go HARD and arrive at the coffee shop dripping in sweat.
8 minutes 21 seconds.
WTF! again?
I'm starting to get worried. Am I losing it?
Wednesday morning
I will not accept below average today.
I decide i’m going to do “all the things”
Grease up the bike chain. Pump up the tyres. Adjust the seat to the perfect height. Drink some pre-workout. Turn up the volume on my headphones to the MAX
I set my timer and start peddling like a maniac
I arrive and look at my stopwatch...
8 minutes 11 seconds
SHIT
I'm about to throw a tantrum when the barista points at my bike and says:
"dude...get some air in that back tyre…it looks kinda low"
What? But I pumped my tires up before I left!
It turns out there was a tiny puncture in my back tire causing air to leak as I rode.
THAT was why the ride felt so difficult:
I wasn’t fixing the actual problem.
I was fixing everything else.
Greasing the chain. Pumping up the tires. Adjusting the seat. Drinking pre-workout. Blasting music. Etc…
Those things might have helped me cycle faster…but only if that damn back tire wasn’t leaking air.
Thats when it hit me…
This same thing plays out for a man who’s trying to boost his Testosterone.
First he realizes he might have Low-T.
Maybe his bloodwork warns him. Or maybe he experiences the typical symptoms of low-T: no motivation or drive. Constant fatigue. Low libido. Difficulty losing weight or gaining muscle.
Or as one man once told me he “felt like a neutered dog…lazy, bloated, depressed”
After some research he starts to try and “fix the problem”
Which means he usually starts buying T-boosting supplements.
Shilajit. Ashwaganda. Boron. Pine Pollen. Creatine. (etc…there are SO many)
Or maybe he starts lifting weights (and he should)
But here’s the thing:
Supplements and weight training CAN boost your Testosterone….
But only when you solve the RIGHT problem first. The right problem:
Testosterone destroying toxins
More specifically you need to remove Testosterone-destroying toxins from your body (and your environment so they stop accumulating in your body)
These toxins are man-made chemicals that enter the body and act like the hormone Estrogen.
(And when your body has high levels of Estrogen it has a hard time producing Testosterone)
The bad news:
These toxins are EVERYWHERE.
In your food. in your clothes. In kitchen products. cleaning products. Cosmetics. Even in your goddamn drinking water!
(I suspect its the reason the average 22 year old today has lower testosterone than the average 70 year old had in the 80s.)
But if you try to boost your Testosterone BEFORE dealing with these toxins?
You’re like me trying to fix my bicycle by doing everything except fixing the punctured tire.
Wrong problem.
So my advice to you if you’re a man who wants to improve his life and cares about his Testosterone levels:
Fix the right problem first and start learning about + removing these toxins from your environment and body
If you want to Testosterone maxx when should you lift weights?
Morning?
Afternoon?
Evening?
Bad news for you night owls:
Its definitely NOT night time
Here’s why:
Resistance training = cortisol release.
Cortisol makes it harder to fall into a deep sleep….and deep sleep is when your bodies Testosterone factory (i.e. your balls) are hard at work.
So the question is:
should you train in the morning or afternoon?
The answer can be found in a study called 'Morning based strength training improves afternoon physical performance in rugby union players'
Men either lifted weights in the morning (3 max reps bench & squat), did some cardio, or didn’t training until later in the day
Then they were tested on their physical performance + Testosterone levels (same day)
What happened?
The men who lifted weights in the morning performed best in all of the tests AND maintained higher Testosterone levels throughout the day when compared with the other groups.
The takeaway: lift weights in the morning
Go get it you chad
Stop eating credit cards
The average human ingests about 5g of microplastic per week (studies show)
A credit card = 5g of plastic
Time to find a nice quiet cave to move into
⚠️ 90% of T-boosting supplements won't work for you
Here's why
3 days ago I sat at a cafe and raised a mug of coffee to my lips
I took that first sweet sip of coffee...
And then instantly spat it all over myself
The coffee was great
That wasn't the problem
It was what I saw across the street that made me choke
A good friend of mine was walking his dog
I yelled out
“Brandon”
He walked over to me
I muttered under my breath as he got closer
“What the f**k”
Something wasn't right
Brandon looked sh*t
Weathered
Big bags under his eyes
And the worst part?
Not only did he have what looked to be the start of a beer gut
He had small boobs
F**KING MAN BOOBS
This made no sense
Brandon was 3 years younger than me
He used to be one of my healthiest friends.
An absolute BEAST in the gym
We used to call him "fountain"
(as in "fountain of youth")
Not any more
Brandon always had an inspiring supplement stack
Just 2 months earlier he told me he was taking a natural Testosterone boosting thing
As he came closer I it became obvious...
Whatever he was doing was NOT working
We got talking
“You still on that T-boosting stuff?” I asked.
“Yeah. 2 months now. But they say you don’t see results until you take it for 3 months consistently”
I probed...
“Right. What else are you doing to help boost your T?"
“Well….I’ve stopped eating junk food. I’m cooking all my own food now at home”
He proudly raised a bag full of groceries from the supermarket to prove his point
I looked at the bag
and I winced
He continued…
“And i’ve started going for long runs a few times per week”
I winced again
I saw the problem straight away
Can you see it?
It's not obvious at first
Brandon was taking a supplement that promised to boost his T.
But...
Those supplements won't do anything unless you fix the ROOT CAUSE of testosterone deficiency first
It's like filling a bucket with water that has hole's in it
Fix the holes first
Then fill the bucket
Did you notice the other two problems?
He was exercising the wrong way
And even though he was cooking his own food now...
...his bag of groceries told me he didn't understand something important:
Mass produced, non-organic produce is full of endocrine disrupting chemicals
Endocrine disrupting chemicals stop your bodies ability to product Testosterone.
I felt sorry for Brandon
He thought he was doing all the right things
But what he didn't realize was this:
WHAT you eat...
And HOW you exercise...
Will either boost or destroy your bodies ability to create Testosterone
Nutrition & training are 2 lifestyle pillars you need to optimize as a man if you want more Testosterone.
There are 6 of these pillars in total
What do you think are the others?
Read this if you're a long distance runner
(or you train for endurance)
This is Eric Hinman
A wellness influencer on the gram (erichinman)
A lot of his posts highlight his shift in training styles
He was once an endurance athlete
But now he focuses on Strength training
He's in his 40s
Look at him
Peak masculine state
The lesson?
If you're a man who cares about his hormones...
Train the right way.
Stop running
Start lifting.
