@petersbarque@needGod_net People need to get off works or no works. Works will be evident if there is faith. But who defines works and if they are "good enough". Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Stop worrying about works or no works.
@AaronForesqusl 1 Thessalonians 4:16 KJV β For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
@AaronForesqusl 1 Thessalonians 4:15 KJV β For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
@AaronForesqusl Not really sure what point youre trying to make tbh. What does the faith in the resurrection of Jesus have to do with praying to the dead?
Imagine being in my state Florida and watching our state thrive in every way possible for the past 8 years, then still voting for a Democrat to wreck it all overnight.
You canβt fix stupid.
@AaronForesqusl Why would our faith in Christ be in vain? Im not sure what view you hold with this OP, but 1 Thess 4.16 should be read with 13-18 together.
A catastrophic fall left Dennis Prager paralyzed. Now heβs back before an audience with a powerful message about gratitude, faith, and finding reasons to keep going.
In his first in-person speech since the injury, he reflects on what he still has and the work he still wants to do.
Watching him speak puts so many of our everyday complaints into perspective.
Welcome back, Dennis.
@Klubbermeister@IttlBuff@KirkDogless Am I dead? What about this are you not getting? If someone asked me to pray for them, i would pray for for them to Jesus. How am I going to do that if I were dead?
@Klubbermeister@IttlBuff@KirkDogless Are you being deliberately ignorant? The OP was about talking to Marry (who is dead) instead of talking to Jesus, who is our High Priest that goes before God on our behalf.
