The “Either way, he’s going” scene is one of the most devastating in The Irishman.
Frank barely says anything. He already knows what’s coming.
Russell’s response makes it clear that Hoffa’s fate was decided long before this conversation. Frank is being told something else without it ever being spoken: this is bigger than both of them now.
The look on Frank’s face says everything. He isn’t hearing new information. He’s realising there was never going to be another outcome.
For all Russell’s loyalty to Frank, this may be the closest thing to protection he can offer him.
@sarahadams It’s a free country. Some people don’t want to be associated with anything that this administration does. You shouldn’t find people exercising their freedom so offensive. That’s literally what this country was built on.
@Camp4@LONGCONVEXITY@zerohedge People aren’t buying this by choice. Ferrari requires people to buy this to get the good models. Although if they keep making stinkers like this, they might not be able to do that for very much longer.
@Camp4@the_P_God I’m not a fan of the “seniors shouldn’t pay PTaxes”. It’s another transfer of wealth. Now, if they want to expand the homestead act, I think that’s a good idea. But if Grandpa has 10mil AUM, he needs to pay his taxes. My thoughts.
@PluginHyBrad I just don’t know how you convince a rich guy Ferrari VIP client he’s gotta pay 500k for this, hang on to it for 2 years and sell it for 200k, to get another good Ferrari. At some point that’s gonna stop.
@destineybleu A great indicator of a good person is someone who celebrates other people’s accomplishments, and is always encouraging them. People underestimate the value of someone positively being in your corner.
This is probably a long shot, but if anybody happens to be in DC this weekend and plans on visiting Arlington, I would love to see a fresh photo of my husband’s grave in Section 60.

There’s just something about knowing people still stop by, still say his name, still remember. 🇺🇸⭐🇺🇸
If you’re pulling into a gas station this Memorial Weekend, complaining about the inconvenience of paying more at the pump…consider the sacrifice of the soldier, sailor, or Marine, making their sacrifices for our lives and our freedom. Exchange your complaint for a prayer.
