We’re getting on with delivering our Plan for Drivers, helping people travel in the way that works best for them.

If you're too close to the vehicle in front, you're tailgating. This is very dangerous and could lead to a collision. Always leave at least a two-second gap and make sure you follow the advice from the Highway Code.

so rang in sick this morning. I've got to ring them back by 11am to say if I'm in tomorrow. how the hell am I suppose to know in 2 hours if my chest is going to be better
Not disagreeing with you but that's the life of a bus driver!
Long shifts, hardly any stand/recovery time, short breaks, weekend working (longer jobs on Suns), mixed rotas (early, middle, late)
5/6 days on, 2 days off. Might finish lates at 2am then 2 days off, then start at 5am
@The_Real_Joey_B@BBCTomEdwards@MayorofLondon Or maybe REVENUE should get off their arses and enforce the fares?
Why should bus drivers enforce fares?
Revenue inspectors get paid more than bus drivers and rarely get on a bus these days! Only do a box ticking exercise with the police once a month at the same bus stop. 🙄
It's not only a HGV driver shortage impacting UK supply chains, but also Brexit has removed cabotage, which made UK haulage more efficient. A truck from Spain dropping fruit in Glasgow could pick up dairy in Glasgow for delivery in Hull, then fish in Hull for delivery in Madrid.
