I wish Bangladeshi garmet workers strength and all the victory. They clothed the world and all they were paid was pittance wages and endless grief. Victory for the oppressed classes.
Important uprising in Paraguay against the free-market govt. Another Trump puppet crushed by their own corruption.
It's a small country, but significant as it's a centre for money laundering by Latin America's right-wing narco elites & crypto bros.
Yup! Populism is inherently reactionary. The masses learn from experience while demagogues seek to redirect their energy. Marxists must trust and love the masses, be aware they are reading for ideological awakening, it is up to us to carry out that mission.
Gaza is DROWNING. And this should make us angry, furious and outraged!
🚨Urgent support needed 🚨 https://t.co/YR8kpxmtBQ
Overnight, thousands of tents collapsed under the storm, with dozens of displacement camps now completely underwater. The rain is expected to continue until Monday.
This is the FOURTH winter that Palestinians in Gaza have faced under genocide. After years of bombardment, displacement and destruction, families who have already lost their homes are now watching their only remaining shelter collapse under the rain.
Think about what that means: parents trying to keep their children dry, families desperately trying to salvage their belongings from floodwater, people who have already been displaced repeatedly being left with nowhere safe to go.
There is something profoundly wrong with a world in which people are forced to fight this hard for the basic right to shelter. They should never have been put in this position.
The Sameer Project is already replacing dozens of destroyed tents and arranging truckloads of sand to help absorb water in flooded camps. But the need is far greater than our current resources.
We urgently need funding to provide higher-quality, more durable tents. These cost $700, compared to $200 for lower-quality alternatives. Many families are refusing the cheaper tents because they know they will likely break again. We are also looking to buy hundreds of tarps and blankets. They cannot keep starting from nothing every time a storm hits.
We are asking you to help us do something tangible. We can’t sink into helplessness. Help us get families out of the floodwater and into shelter that can actually protect them.
We cannot stop the storm, but we can refuse to stand by while families face it without protection.
Please urgently donate whatever you can and share this appeal. Every contribution brings another family closer to having somewhere safe and dry to sleep: https://t.co/YR8kpxmtBQ
disgusting how many cis ppl are celebrating the blue wave as some victory for trans ppl, meanwhile our rights are being actively rolled back as a result of midterm ballot measures. our lives are disposable to u, our healthcare access is treated as an inconvenience or distraction-
At least 70,000 tents have been flooded & blown away by the torrential downpour and tempestuous wind in Gaza since last night, report health and media officials.
Families are shelterless. Food prices are soaring. Children are starving and shivering with cold.
Caravans and mobile homes must enter Gaza now to avert this cataclysm.
It is cold, it is rainy, and the wind is biting. Nobody deserves to have to deal with this for days, let alone years, trying to find a safe place to sleep. Give, give, give. If you have a warm and safe place to sleep tonight, give something.
I also have no home to come back to today, we don't have enough money to continue paying for a hotel or to move into an apartment, and as of right now I got locked out. Tonal whiplash I know but life is unpredictable
Please help

separate factor. all of this is to say, i've made a kofi as an attempt to ask for some mutual aid. I don't like having to do this and nobody is obligated to give anything but it would be so so appreciated. i just don't have any options https://t.co/q7WUBpxWt0
