The Harding administration was likely the most corrupt administration in our history. It was defined by cronyism, as Harding appointed many of his poker-playing political allies from Ohio,known as the “Ohio Gang”to high-level federal positions, leading to massive bribery, kickbacks, and theft of public funds.

The Secretary of the Interior leased federal oil reserves at Teapot Dome in Wyoming, to private oil tycoons without competitive bidding. In exchange the Secretary received 400k in bribes and went to prison.

Charles Forbes, head of the Veterans Bureau, stole and accepted kickbacks on hospital construction sites and illegally sold off government medical supplies. Forbes and his associates looted 200 million from funds meant for WWI veterans. Forbes only served 2 years in prison.

Attorney General Harry Daugherty, a core member of the Ohio Gang, faced accusations of turning a blind eye to corruption, taking bribes, and selling illegal liquor permits and pardons. Daugherty escaped a prison sentence and was forced to resign.

Harding died before many more of the scandals came to life. It was period of excess in many ways that would lead to the stock market crash a few years later and lead to the new deal under Roosevelt.

The Trump administration across two terms have made the Harding corruption look like a misdemeanor. The stealing of another nations oil, the manipulation of the stock market. filling the administration with pedophiles and pedophile protectors, the crypto enrichment scheme, the sale of pardons, the potential murder of Jeffrey Epstein, the murdering of innocent Iranian school children and targeting of sovereign leaders, and so much more. Trump has created an economy on the verge of collapse and has created an environment for another New Deal that we can have if Democrats stick together and take back the House, the Senate, and the WH in two more years.

History has a way of repeating itself and the time has come to punish this collection of robber barons into tax hell.
