Your Bench Attitude Matters—College Coaches Are Watching 🔥🥎
Hey athletes—here’s something real: how you handle sitting the bench says a lot about you, and college coaches are absolutely paying attention. Even if they aren’t at your games, they will call your current coaches to find out the kind of teammate you are.
We get it. You want to be on the field. You’ve worked hard, and watching from the sidelines can sting. But your attitude in those moments can make or break your recruiting journey.
Are you cheering your team on? Locked in and learning? Or are you pouting, disengaged, and making it all about you?
College coaches aren’t just recruiting talent—they’re building teams. They want athletes who are coachable, selfless, and mentally tough. If they see you showing maturity, leadership, and energy even when you’re not in the lineup, that’s a green flag. If they see body language that screams “me first,” that’s a red flag.
Remember: Every moment is an opportunity to lead—even from the bench.
Be the kind of teammate coaches want in their program. Your attitude speaks louder than your stats.
Obviously biased but JuCo is also a great way to go (freshman/redshirts) great opportunities for “right now” playing time to spring board back to ANY 4 year level
Judo opportunities becoming very attractive to be able to “play now”. Coaching at those levels also lean towards development and getting them prepared for the 4 year level as well!
@_coachrachel Feel that these kids were not really prepared to go to college and be uncomfortable! A lot of them were over hyped, should have gone to a Juco, developed and then on to a D1 or D2 program. Just because an athlete doesn’t play as a freshman doesn’t mean you leave #workharder
Is this the year that more softball players that enter the portal with minimal opportunities/stats figure out that JUCO is the BEST option for them? We will see @SoftballPortal
