@rogerblum@beholdthetweet@acoyne I'm not going to judge your friends, because I don't know them. But I would dare say that you you shouldn't make assumptions of others as well. I've had many conversations about FPTP with friends and family, and while there is often disagreement, all parties seem informed.
@Smileyyeg@JadeCole2112 So, you don't have data? This is just a possible scenario you've dreamed up? Great! Now, go get the data and see if your hypothesis holds up.
@beholdthetweet@acoyne I think we're ready, but complacent. And for how bad it could be ... hopefully no worse than Apollo 13 level - everything breaks, but it works out in the end.
@Conorwq9t@csubagio@ChristiansSTDT Atheists are generally asantaists and aunicornists - we don't bother about things that have no evidence. We also don't concern ourselves with teapots orbiting Saturn - they could exist, but it's unlikely.
@_Neos_Helios_@TheBenKimberlin@Tsar_Martyr the "a" in both agnostic and atheist simply means to lack - a neutral stance. gnosticism relates to knowledge while theism relates gods. Gnostic atheists do claim to know that there is no god, but most atheists are agnostic atheists - lack of knowledge and lack of faith in god.
@TonyForLP@MelissaLMRogers Believe in fairies, if you like!
In this election, about 19% of eligible Quebecois voters voted for the PQ. The PQ won the most seats, not because there was a strong sovereignist movement, but Quebec is divided about who should replace the CAQ . It's a whimper, not real noise.
@Martyupnorth To be fair, he does this with every election. Andrew likes the idea of compulsory voting - an idea that I reject. But that's most likely the reason for his accounting post.
@MelissaLMRogers 19% of eligible voters voted for the PQ. There are more Californians who want to succeed from the Union by percentage than Quebecois who voted for the PQ. Keep your panties on!
@audragabrielle_ What you'd have to do is determine the number of bears and the number of men women have been close enough to, to have an encounter with. Without doing that, you're just conflating statistics.
