Just that he was a good dude who gave gifts and encourages the spirit of giving. And that's why you, not Santa, give the gifts.

@rae_hollister Currently having a similar problem. My MC is being forced into an arranged marriage, but gets out of it in the end. During the fun and games, he's supposed to at least try getting to know the girl. But no!

MC: I'm gay
Me: right, but you can't have him yet
MC: ...too bad

Helpful #NaNoWriMo tip:

I keep a master list of characters and locations that I add to as new ones pop up while writing. That way I can flesh them out later and make sure nothing ends up too similar.
