We, the Vocational Trainers serving since 2016, express our sincere gratitude to the Government for raising the issue of #Outsourcing in the ongoing Assembly session. It is encouraging to see that the ruling NC government, @JKNC_ , the INC @INCJammuKashmir the opposition, @BJPJammuKashmir @jkpdp and independent MLAs have all strongly voiced concern against the #outsourcing system that has affected vocational education for years.

Before the elections, a clear promise was made that #outsourcing would be ended, Vocational Trainers would be brought under direct departmental control and a proper Job Policy would be framed by our Leader Honorable @OmarAbdullah @CM_JnK . Today, seeing this issue acknowledged on the floor of the House strengthens our faith in that commitment.

We strongly believe that under the present budget and leadership, not only will outsourcing be phased out, but Vocational Education will receive proper State budgetary support along with a structured and secure Job Policy for Vocational Trainers.

Having served the department and students with dedication since 2016, we place our full trust in Omar Sahib’s government Hon'ble @OmarAbdullah and Hon’ble Minister @sakinaitoo Ji that justice will be delivered and vocational education will finally be treated as a permanent system, not a temporary scheme.

As the J&K Budget Session 2026 is about to begin, the long-pending issues of Vocational Trainers require urgent and serious consideration.

Strengthening vocational education requires a state share in addition to Central support, job security for Vocational Trainers, adoption of the Haryana Model as recommended by all Directors of the Education Department (Jammu/Kashmir/Samagra Shiksha) and removal of #VTPs/outsourcing system to ensure a stable and sustainable vocational education ecosystem.

Addressing these concerns in Budget 2026 will directly support the implementation of NEP 2020, improve youth employability and strengthen the skill ecosystem in J&K.

Vocational Teachers of J&K will rejoin schools up to 13th April under a PEN DOWN STRIKE, standing strong in our demand for justice and fairness.

States like Haryana, Andaman Nicobar Islands, Mizoram etc have removed private companies #VTPs — why is J&K still delaying?

From tomorrow, the J&K Assembly will start discussions on education. At the same time, we respectfully urge Director Sir to demonstrate decisive leadership in addressing the challenges faced by vocational trainers. We request the immediate issuance of orders for the approved salary hike, along with arrears, as sanctioned in the PAB. Additionally, we seek the submission of a detailed report to the government before he assumes his new post.

Furthermore, we wish to remind our esteemed Director @JKSamagra Shri Rakesh Magotra that during our physical meeting on January 29, 2025, we were assured that the file report would be forwarded promptly. We were also advised to postpone our protest with the assurance that our demands would be addressed through dialogue. We trust that before leaving office, Director Sir will fulfill his commitment, review our concerns, & sign off on the file as promised.

Taking these steps is crucial to alleviating the hardships endured by vocational trainers in the UT.

📢 March 1st – Zero Discrimination Day or A Celebration of Hypocrisy?

Today, the world pretends to stand against discrimination. Fancy speeches, social media posts, and meaningless promises—while the real victims continue to suffer in silence.

For 10 years, Vocational Trainers have been treated like dirt by the very education system that claims to teach fairness and equality.

💥 DISCRIMINATION WE FACE DAILY:

❌ We build futures, but we have no future – No job security, no career growth.
❌ We teach skills, but we are treated as unskilled – Ignored, underpaid, and overlooked.
❌ We are called "Educators," but denied an Educator’s respect, No Benefits, No Rights, No Voice.
❌ We are the backbone of industry, but treated as disposable labor, Exploited by private companies #VTPs, working for crumbs.

SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE CELEBRATING?

🎭 A festival of fake sympathy?
📢 A loudspeaker of empty words?
✍️ Another year of useless promises?

If discrimination truly ended, then why:

🔥 Are we still begging for fair wages while others in education enjoy privileges?
🔥 Are we still forced into unstable contracts while others have permanent jobs?
🔥 Are we still suffering in silence while policies are written to protect the powerful?

Enough of this farce!

🚨 Don’t celebrate discrimination—end it.
🚨 We don’t need a symbolic day, we need real action.
