Some people are working 9â5 in offices and earning less per day than someone working on a construction site. đ
In construction:
A labourer reportedly takes home âŠ7,000ââŠ8,000/day.
A mason: âŠ15,000/day.
An iron bender: âŠ16,000/day.
A carpenter: âŠ17,000/day.
Meanwhile, some 9â5 workers spend hours commuting, dress professionally, sit through meetings, hit targetsâand still take home less when you break their monthly salary down by working day.
So, are we overvaluing âoffice jobsâ and undervaluing skilled trades in Nigeria?
Donât Stand and Just Criticise and Propose No Solution. Hold leaders accountable â Actor RMD Urges Nigerians to Take Responsibility
Veteran actor and filmmaker Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has urged Nigerians to go beyond criticising the countryâs problems and contribute to finding solutions to the challenges facing the nation. RMD made the call at the 2026 Pivot Nigeria Conference in Lagos
Speaking at the conference, RMD acknowledged the challenges facing the country but stressed that identifying problems should be accompanied by efforts to solve them.
âThere are problems, but we need to fix them. Donât stand and just criticise and propose no solution,â he said.
The actor also called for greater accountability from political leaders, saying Nigerians must demand responsibility from those entrusted with public office.
âWe donât hold leadership accountable enough,â RMD said, stressing that elected leaders should understand that they are responsible to the people they represent.
He further urged Nigerians to remember that their conduct contributes to the countryâs international image, particularly when they travel or interact with people from other countries.
âJust remember who you are. You are an ambassador, not just for yourself, your parents or your school, but ultimately for your country,â he said.
He described Nigeria as a âwork in progressâ and called for patience and sustained efforts toward national development.
THIS IS F**KING INSANE.
this american guy made $10,725 in a single month from a kids youtube channel that he built with AI
no camera,
no animation skills,
no voiceover.
one short hit 800K views. youtube started pushing it. and the month came in over $10,845
his whole workflow fits in one prompt. he opens openart, types a description of a 3D animated nursery scene, and the tool spits out a full short film ready to upload
he showed it live. one prompt, one render, one upload. he can also vibe direct longer videos up to 5 minutes for higher CPM
kids content is the highest-paying niche on youtube. parents leave it on autoplay for hours. one video can loop all day and the algorithm keeps feeding it to new viewers
cocomelon does 10M views per video with a full studio. he does 100-200K views per video with a laptop. the CPM on kids content does the math for him
no face on camera. no brand deals. no editing software. just prompts and uploads
this used to take a pixar-level team and months of rendering. now it takes one AI tool and a free afternoon
full workflow is in the video,
save it before youtube patches the meta

Actor Baba Ijesa Calls Out Mr. Latin for distancing himself from him despite calling him Over 25 Times After Returning From prison
Yoruba actor and comedian, Baba Ijesa, has called out fellow actor, Mr. Latin, describing him as an opportunist while recounting his experience during a recent crisis involving them.
Speaking during a programme, Baba Ijesa alleged that after returning from Jerusalem, he repeatedly tried to reach Mr. Latin but was met with excuses.
According to him, he called his elder brother more than 25 times, only to hear responses such as, âIâm in a meeting, Iâm in a meeting.â
Baba Ijesa said he could have edited his account to avoid making Mr. Latin look bad but deliberately chose to tell the story as it happened.
He further revealed that upon arriving in the area, he went to report at their house and was subsequently arrested.
The actor explained that Mr. Latinâs closeness with Sirikimi and his popularity may have influenced his actions, adding that he understood why his colleague might not want to get involved in trouble.
He also disclosed that Mr. Latinâs previous comments about the situation upset him because he believed the actor knew what had happened when he arrived.
Baba Ijesa, however, appeared to caution against escalating the disagreement, noting that if he chose to fight Mr. Latin, he could even do so through a movie.
âThere is no theatre practitioner without wisdom; you cannot find a foolish comedian. We donât call comedy foolishness,it is inspiration,â he said.
He ended by stressing the importance of wisdom and patience, as a song played in the background, âGently, gently is how an elder acts. If we live long in this world, we become elders.â
âFrom all the tribes, Fulani, Berom, Mwaghavul and others, the criminals⊠they refuse, fail, or neglect to expose or fish out criminals among them. There are criminals on the Fulani side and on the Berom and Mwaghavul side. We should identify who the criminals are among us" â Salisu Muhammed, Plateau state Miyetti Allah secretary

I Almost Missed My Wife Because She Was Chubby â Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo Reveals, Warns Singles Against Choosing Spouses Based on Physical Appearance
Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo has advised intending couples not to base their choice of a spouse solely on physical appearance, stressing that marriage can change how people view their preferences.
Speaking about his own experience, the cleric said he almost missed marrying his wife because he initially considered her body size a concern.
He said, âWhen I met her, I liked everything about her, smart, spiritual, work, friends, everything, I liked everything. My only concern was that I felt she was a bit plump, she was a bit chubby.â
According to him, his preference for slim women was influenced by what he had seen in movies, adverts and beauty pageants rather than actual experience.
âI like slim girls, I like slim girls. Thatâs what I felt. Where did I get it from? Iâve just been seeing it everywhere,in movies, in adverts, in beauty pageants,â he said.
Okonkwo explained that he later realised that people who have never been married may have unrealistic expectations about what they want in a spouse.
âYou think you will not like a woman that is not slim, have you married one before? So, itâs speculation,â he stated.
He added that after years of marriage, his wifeâs character had become more important to him than her physical appearance.
âBecause when you marry somebody, especially for long term, their behavior will be more important than their shape,â he said.
The pastor further warned men against choosing a wife solely because she fits a particular physical preference, arguing that appearance alone does not determine the quality of a marriage.
He said, âThat slim girl you are talking about, if sheâs wicked, you will not have s+x with her for six months. There are men that are so provoked by their wives, they canât get an erÂŁction to sleep with her.â
Okonkwo urged singles to seek advice from people with actual marriage experience rather than relying solely on assumptions about their spec.
