Its insane to think our generation stands at the dawn of AI, Robotics, Genetic engineering, and Space Travel. All of these technologies will rewrite what it means to be human. We are a destined generation setting the very foundations for the expansion of humanity through the stars.

There was a 2,000 year period in the Pacific Ocean where the ancient Polynesians were so cracked that they would set afloat on wooden canoes, and they were so gifted at seafaring that they could even use their balls(yes their fucking balls in the water) while on these rickey canoes to detect oceanic coordinates, to reach new islands and new land for their over-swelling tribes.

It strikes me there will come a time where humanity will by sheer will seek to explore the billions of stars with Earthlike conditions and settle them just like the ancient Polynesians settled across the endless islands of the Pacific.

Think of all the civilizations yet to come, the languages yet to be created, the cities blazing with foods and cultures we can't even imagine, the epics that will be lived and told.

It can't but help make one feel connected in such a deep way to what our descendants will live, and it is our responsibility in a sense to guarantee this in part for them.
