Backpacker, survivalist, lover of foreign cultures, and grace addict. Zealous for helping men grow in Christ & invest themselves in the lives of others.
Top 3 Bible verses LEAST likely to be chosen as a life verse:
Prov 30:2 - I am certainly more stupid than any man, and I do not have the understanding of a man
John 16:33 - In this world you will have trouble. (yep)
Psalm 38:7 - For my loins are filled with burning (TMI)
This is my (not so) little brother Brad, teaching in his church about the feasts we read about in the OT. A strong message - applicable for today.

Another great post by @SamanthaMDecker on

I love the picture of a father bending down to hear his child. We do this because we want them to focus on us or want them to know we are listening to them. We want them to feel and know they are important!

I’ve heard that studies show 3/4 of our thoughts are negative. That’s probably true for me. But “prayer will control our emotions and permit His truth to bring down the negative forces that are speaking lies to our minds and trying to corrupt our thoughts.” #21DaysofPrayer@QSBC
2/2 - It was God who established the priesthood. We can’t go around it. So by His design, it’s all about Jesus. We can’t have a right relationship with God without believing, submitting, obeying, abiding and imitating the person of Jesus.
1/2 - Am reading in Hebrews 5 this morning and struck by this:
BEFORE CHRIST, man could not approach God directly without going through the priest. SINCE CHRIST, we still can’t approach God directly without going through our Great High Priest.

Hebrews 2:3 asks, “… how will we escape if we NEGLECT so great a salvation?” To neglect is different than to reject. A reason many neglect their salvation is because they never see it as salvation. They see it merely as receiving something, not as being rescued from something.

Stay in the grind. It’s not always a matter of success. It’s a matter of posture. Ephesians 6:13 - “…and after you have done everything, stand.”
