Agnes Callamard, the head of Amnesty International, has denounced US President Trump’s “revolting” threats to destroy Iranian bridges and power plants, stressing that civilians “will be the first to suffer.”

Why is Israel still blocking MSF from bringing critical medical supplies into Gaza? No legitimate reason. Evidently Israel is still pursuing its genocidal unfulfilled aim of making life so miserable that two million Palestinians flee "voluntarily." https://t.co/xSbHeCnEAV
It is painful to see what Israelis are doing to the Palestinians -soldiers, settlers, security, police, very tangibly. This is not a war. It is to torture a people: physically and psychologically. And it is part of their erasure.
The Financial Times is reporting something that should be front-page news everywhere.
Pete Hegseth didn’t just help design the Iran war. He championed it publicly, cheered it on, and sold it to the American people. And according to the Financial Times, while his own department was in the final stages of preparing to launch it, his broker at Morgan Stanley was attempting to make a multimillion-dollar investment in the defense companies that build the weapons we used to fight it.
The investment didn’t ultimately go through, but only because the fund wasn’t yet available on Morgan Stanley’s platform. Not because anyone stopped it.
If these reports are accurate, the Secretary of Defense was positioned to profit from a war he helped start, using information no private investor could ever have. That is a profound betrayal of every service member he commands, and of every American who trusted this Administration with their national security.
No one should be cashing in on privileged information while lives and national security are on the line.
Lebanon - Around 2pm Sunday, Israeli forces struck a densely populated residential area in Beirut, only meters from Rafik Hariri Public Hospital, where MSF is supporting with an ER doctor.
A mass-casualty influx followed: people bleeding, some carried on shoulders. In the first hour, 4 were killed and nearly 40 injured; more casualties are feared as rubble is cleared.
“We are seeing elderly people and adolescents arriving with critical injuries to the head, chest and abdomen, including shrapnel wounds,” says Dr. Luna Hammad, MSF Medical Coordinator, from the ER at Rafik Hariri Public Hospital. “When strikes hit crowded residential areas without warning, the consequences are severe: both in human casualties and in hospitals’ capacity to respond.”
MSF condemns this attack on civilians in a highly populated area and calls for the protection of civilians and health facilities. Strikes this close to a hospital spread fear and can stop people from seeking lifesaving care. MSF is donating a mass-casualty kit and will continue supporting hospitals with medical expertise and essential medical and non-medical supplies. Civilians cannot be collateral damage.
As we watch hollywood barrel towards a paramount Warner bros merger, this movie should remind us of what may be lost. The relationship between movies and journalism is without question one of the most important parts of a democracy. Having choice in a multi studio system with a news media that is completely independent of those studios cannot be undervalued, nor its importance overstated. This movie would not have been made in a Paramount/Warnerbros/CNN /Trump era. Just never would have happened. That’s what’s at stake. Trump and Hegseth have told us so. “Separation between News and Power”. Should be our new “separation between church and state”.

John Kiriakou says going back to the 80’s everytime an Israeli prime minister would come to the White House they would ask the American president to bomb Iran. All said no, except Trump.
There are too many of these vague headlines. Southern Lebanon is not disputed territory. It never has been. Israel is occupying Lebanon. Israel says it is. We should too. Maybe people think it is good idea, that’s a different debate. But Israel isn’t leaving.

Een afschuwelijke nacht op de West Bank. Joodse kolonistenterroristen voeren momenteel een pogrom uit in het dorp Jalud op de West Bank. Ze steken huizen in brand en openen het vuur op burgers. Mensen smeken om hulp.

"Israel wants to live in peace with its neighbours" is the biggest lie of all time.
This is the West Bank.
No Hamas, no war, yet attacked like this daily by "settlers" backed by the IDF.
A savagely violent Jewish supremacy armed by the EU/UK/US
Retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling is not mincing words. The former Commanding General of US Army Europe says these generals were purged because they stood up against Pete Hegseth’s push to turn the US military into a Christian nationalist crusade.
Retired Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner says dozens of chaplains who don’t share Hegseth’s views are being marginalized and excluded from staff meetings. The chaplain corps exists to serve all service members regardless of faith. That apparently made Green’s position untenable.
The Pope has now weighed in. Hegseth’s prayer for battlefield violence prompted a response from Rome: God does not listen to those who wage war in his name.
Hertling has seen enough. So have the troops.

Israel needs to get sanctioned by the international community should they further push the world economy into the abyss
Every cent, dollar, euro, or pound we pay extra at the pump and on food inflation, we pay for Israel’s desperate attempt to turn a losing war around
"The death penalty further legalises what already exists"
Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, slams Israel for introducing the death penalty for Palestinians, describing it part of a broader structure of apartheid, and warning that global attention is being diverted by Israel’s expansion. She called for stronger legal pathways for Palestinian victims, including access to European courts
My parents are Holocaust survivors. I grew up with stories about my father hiding in a Berlin neighbor's house during Krystallnacht. Now reading about this terrible irony.
