@altyrandy @Marirose378275@DrJillStein Just like nobody there ever campaigns to take it away and turn it over to private insurance companies that answer to stockholders. That sounds absurd! Because it is.
@altyrandy @Marirose378275@DrJillStein Yes. Because it would be politically expedient not to cut your healthcare. Ask most people living under a single payer system - not one viable candidate on the left or right ever campaigns on taking healthcare away. They would lose the election in a heartbeat.
I've lived in coastal New England, went to school in Northern Vermont, and have seen many a lake effect event in the 22 years I've been in Rochester. Never have I seen such a ferocious lake effect snow event as this with intense snow rates & relentless 70 mph wind gusts. #Buffalo
@JackOuter@DonaldRElder@cbowsin I mean it’s going to help the middle class. Anyone making under 125K. I’d say it’s a middle class benefit. It absolutely will help them. I had about 100K in debt. If I could have lost about 10-20K, that would have been great. It’s not a long term solution though. That’s for sure.
@DonaldRElder@cbowsin I agree with both your statements. But neither of those options exist right now. So here we are. That’s what I’m saying. It’s broken for a lot of us. Again, all of us don’t follow a simple formula.
@mlevyholden@ElAmerican_@EmmaRincon The problem with your statement is that kids like me who grew up poorer in a single family home and who has type 1 diabetes shouldn’t be burdened with school debt bc my parents couldn’t afford my college. A lot of the $ I made while working during college went to my diabetes care
@Latricia_Rivers @DonaldRElder@cbowsin Thank you. And I can’t join the military because I have type 1 diabetes. So I have literally zero options for a free education.
@DonaldRElder@cbowsin I paid mine off too. I can’t join the military because I have type 1 diabetes. And I worked all through college but my money didn’t go to my college expenses, it went to affording insulin and my diabetes supplies. There isn’t a simple formula for us all. Forgive it!
