@mhp_guy Amazing! If you don’t mind, how did you find an active ranch for sale? I also am in dfw and look around for something similar but just look mostly for land for sale.
@chrissyfarr I think the right set up could make this work for at least a large chunk of refills yes. This is the type of project we should be working on for sure.
So much controversy over so many things. We are all getting bogged down in the details. Lets get the main things right, and just try to be excited about a future that could be amazing(its out of your control anyway)
I dont see it any different from the last decade where people have found their diagnosis based on a google search or WebMD. I actually like it a little more because its more likely to be closer to the target. But I say something like "Great, lets walk through your symptoms(or labs etc)"
@PeterDiamandis It happening on a small scale, but helping drop electric costs for citizens near data centers, improving infrastructure in the cities, @SpaceX gave money to police and fire training centers, things of that nature. Make people want to have data centers.
Dear physician,
The system does not care about you.
The system cares about you being productive for its financial gain.
It will seek to replace you when you are no longer meeting its productivity metrics.
Keep this in mind the next time you feel pressured to prioritize work over your loved ones.
Or yourself.
Everyone says your kids have their own personality. No one tells you one is a strong willed child that likes to read, and the other is a hard headed Tasmanian devil.
Happy Thighday Friday to all who celebrate. Just your friendly early morning reminder that you can still do a leg day while pregnant. No 1 rep max, watch your heart rate, and crush it. (also, if leg day isnt your thing, still get in your workout)
Ten minutes of morning sun does more for your sleep than most of what you'll buy to fix your sleep.
It's free. It's outside. It doesn't ship in two days.
That's usually why nobody does it....
Some days you get the training session, the good dinner, and the twenty minutes outside.
Most days you get one of the three.
Take the one. Take the win. Consistency has never once required a perfect day.
@DutchRojas Absolutely agree, it seems to me most physicians are not interested in putting in even the minimal effort to unite. They want the fruit of the results but thats all.
Things I've been asked whether they cause miscarriage:
Reaching overhead
Lifting weights
A single cup of coffee
Getting upset at your husband
I'd like to formally clear all four. Especially the last one, which appears to be rather load bearing in several marriages.
"Keep your heart rate under 140."
That number came from a 1985 guideline that was withdrawn in 1994. It has outlived three phone formats and refuses to die.
Use effort, not a ceiling. If you can hold a conversation, you're working appropriately.
Confidence is what a kid feels when things are going well.
Resilience is what's left when they aren't.
I'd trade a lot of the first for more of the second in my girls. The hard part is that you can't hand it to them they have to earn it on something real.
What's worked in your house?
As an OB/GYN: the six-week post partumvisit is not a starting gun.
Some women are ready for real training at six weeks. Some need twelve. Some need pelvic floor PT before either.
"Cleared" means no red flags. It doesn't mean your tissue read the calendar.
A protein bar has 15-20 grams of protein and 31 ingredients.
Four eggs have 16 grams and one ingredient.
I'm not saying never eat the bar(I eat them). I'm saying you've been sold convenience at a markup and called it nutrition. Know what you eat.
"Is it safe to lift while pregnant?"
Safer than the alternative, which is deconditioning for nine months and then being handed a car seat.
Barring a specific medical reason, strength training in pregnancy is well supported. Load, don't launch. Adjust as you go. Listen to your body.
Friendly reminder, especially in the Texas heat for pregnant moms...8 glasses of water is outdated advice. How much you need depends on numerous factors. So listen to your body, check your pee color(pale yellow is a win), and always drink when you are thirsty. Happy Monday Morning
So much parenting advice says to "protecting your daughters' hearts."
Cool. First I have to survive negotiating bedtime with a 3 year old who has the legal instincts of Abraham Lincoln....one battle at a time I suppose.
I recently heard someone say a time will come where they do not want to see a doctor that doesn’t use ai for most of the patient visits they have.
If you are using it correctly, is that time not basically here?
Maybe not every patient but at least daily at this point?
