I've seen next to fuck all fuss from the media about Reform increasing council tax in all of the councils they run, despite campaigning on cutting council tax.
There are no trans women competing at the Olympics, but there IS a man convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl: glad to see the terfs are all about protecting women.
All the studies show that young people who don’t receive sex education are less likely to know they have experienced sexual violence, harassment or abuse. So you advocating for this is literally advocating for that.
For all the people asking me to point to “just one study!!!!” that comprehensive sex education helps mitigate sexual violence and literacy around sexual abuse. Here’s a whole fucking thread 🧵
Trans people are not a cheap punchline. They are human beings who deserve to live happily and peacefully as they truly are.
Please consider donating to Esther Ghey's fundraiser, set up in memory of her daughter Brianna.

Our thoughts are with Brianna Ghey’s family and friends today, as her murderers are due to be sentenced. Brianna’s tragic death is a stark reminder of the abuse and hostility trans young people can face in our society. No one should be discriminated against, hurt or killed for being who they are.
Christmas can be a challenging time for survivors of child sexual abuse.
If estranged from family we might feel a great sense of loss. Or relief. Or a complex mix of both.
We might feel the pressure of meeting relatives who were responsible for the abuse, complicit, or bystanders during the time of abuse.
Christmas time can make us reflect on our own lost childhoods.
We might have memories of experiencing abuse at Christmas.
We might feel the pressure to feel joy, to do ‘normal’ Christmas things, when we are feeling the opposite of joyful.
It might feel overwhelming at times, trying to make Christmas perfect, for our own children.
Alternately we might love Christmas, embrace it, and make the most of every moment, because of our abuse.
Survivors are all different, but regardless of how it makes you feel, you are probably not the only one feeling the way you do.
I find staying close to the survivor community helpful at this time of year.
@RapeCrisisEandW Support Line is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. #csa #childsexualabuse
can safely say that, as a cis woman, i have never ever felt threatened by or unsafe around a trans women. i do, however, feel unsafe around men most days! hope this helps :)
We know there has been a lot of discussion about sexual violence and abuse in the media today, which could be triggering for victims and survivors. If you’re impacted by anything you read or watch today, we are here for you.

It is SO important to understand the rigorous investigation and reporting that goes into a story like these #RussellBrand allegations. Media has to abide by laws, and to get to this stage, there is solid evidence. Believe women
