Bought a @Dell computer from @microcenter that needed a replacement motherboard when it was purchased. Somehow no warranty and will cost $700. Maybe @Dell has a better solution?
@microcenter what kind of service is this. Walk into a store and am told that the warranty will not be honored. The only reason I came into the store is attached.
@AGoldmund@replyall ... I also had my Facebook hacked at the time, so that may have been a way that they got the key the first time. I did also reset my Facebook password at the same time, so I’m not sure which process fixed the issue. Hopefully that helped!
@AGoldmund@replyall I had the same thing happen to my Spotify account - I would notice when I was listening that it would switch over to a different device (motorola) and I have never had a Motorola phone. Initially, I messed with the other account since I could control what they were listening to.
@AGoldmund@replyall ... doesn’t have to ask for your password, much like the key that is provided to your Xbox or to Facebook so that you don’t have to login every time to authorize access. I believe they can spoof that they are a “device” to get the key, and then hide the connection from settings..
