@jnnnthnn@avec Completely agree, and the other thing is they gave us a duo simulator with one app (settings) so you couldn’t even try the stock apps to see how they take advantage of the screens, yes there were videos and the launch video. But for some reason they were so worried about devs.
So what we’ve learnt from the reviews of the iPhone Duo is Apple should have made the devices available earlier to not just influencers but iOS devs before the general public. I remember the experience with the iPhone X and how apps took a while to get optimised.
I created a second google account for school
correspondence, all was good until yesterday morning when Google flagged it for “something” and now it’s been disabled. I have no clue what I did wrong, but now I’ve been told it’s disabled and no straight explanation of what I did!
@Ikryanov@paste_app@ProductHunt I’m in the UK so should be exempt from the AI ban, but that’s a good shout actually. Maybe it’s only working in the US.
Trying out MacOS 15, so far so good. But @parallels isn’t switching to AMD graphics on my MBP 16”. Hopefully an update will come out before next week when the public version is released 😉
It looks like I’ve spotted a strange bug in macOS 14.4 RC.
If you preview an image and try and export the image to HEIC using 100% lossless it fails to export, anything below 100% lossless and it’s fine.
This also happens with 3rd party apps which save lossless HEIC files.

I can never get a Rider EAP to work without reporting some weird errors on startup. Now it’s throwing issues with Appender whatever that is! 🙄
Strangely the production version of 2023.2 is perfect! It’s just EAPs which don’t like my Mac…
I can’t imagine a MS Surface (or Windows) product announcement without @panos_panay telling his emotional stories or how proud he is of the products they’ve made.
Good luck in your future endeavours @panos_panay.
I want to say it’s a shame Microsoft is killing off VS for Mac, but I’ve been using Rider for 3 years now and it’s been great for me.
It’s now my default IDE on Windows too.
To all .NET developers on macOS: we’ve got your back!❤️
If you want to keep using macOS for your #dotnet and #gamedev development, try Rider, a truly cross-platform .NET IDE: https://t.co/wJJQCBt8uO
You can use the same powerful tools on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
@Sofia_Byzova Correct, I’m using 2023.1 for production changes, but wanted to try 2023.2, mainly for the new AI chat functionality. I believe they get installed as two separate IDEs so can (hopefully) coexist.
Just installed Rider 2023.2 EAP 6 and it’s not happy as soon as I open a solution. No 3rd party plugins installed, unless my instance of Rider 2023.1 is interfering. 🫤 #Rider#Jetbrains#RiderEAP
@Sofia_Byzova No not at all, I installed the EAP as a separate instance, but it’s reporting those errors as soon as I open a solution, with only the bundled 3rd party plugins. As/when I’ve got it working then I’ll slowly add the plugins which have already been updated to support 2023.2x
@CFDevelop When the pandemic started I purchased a MBP. Since then I’ve been using Rider and .Net Core projects with no issues. I do once in a while need to use Parallels and Windows 11 but that’s just to support our .Net Framework APIs.
