So excited for this next chapter…but there is still a very important chapter to finish writing! Lamar Cards are in post season and plan to stay there! Let’s go Cards. #peckem
SOURCES: @UHCougarBB is expected to hire @Lamar_Baseball head coach Will Davis as its new head coach, I'm told. Davis spent the last 10 seasons with the Cardinals, and has guided LU to the NCAA tournament this season.

Lamar punches its ticket to the Championship series next weekend.
Hats off to Lamar pitching its way through the losers bracket. Tons of credit goes to pitching coach @Jace_Hutch
In 5 games the Cardinals only allowed 6 runs
The Lamar pitching staff is playing its best ball under Jace Hutchins
Lamar rolled through five games in the Beaumont Bracket with a 1.05 ERA. The Cards allowed just 7 extra base hits while maintaining a 1.12 WHIP.

Not a doubt in my or @CoachHutchman26 mind that this would be Jace’s story. He’s been mentored by some of the very best to include his dad! No doubt he pours his heart, soul and energy into his players and program #peckem ⚾️⚾️
Really impressed with the growth of the pitching staff at Lamar under @Jace_Hutch.
At only 26 Jace Hutchins is proving he is a rising star in the coaching ranks.
The bad news: Our tournament got canceled after overnight storms blew through the Baton Rouge area. @bvbucksbaseball went 2-0 on Saturday and were the 2-seed but unfortunately did not get a chance to compete for the championship (they did give us the cheap rings for “finishing 2nd”…would have much preferred to play).
The good news: We’re making lemonade with our situation and back at The Box for game 3 of A&M vs. LSU to watch @AggieBaseball go for the sweep! The boys are watching how the Aggie pitchers go through film study as part of their pregame routine.
Can’t thank @CoachHutchman26 and the players enough for helping make this weekend a truly unforgettable experience and creating memories that they will never forget!
