⚡ A better cross-border payment experience is here.
Consumers can now send money across borders with greater speed, transparency and predictability through Swift's scheme, a shared framework for retail payments. Payments from Australia to Spain have been completed in as little as 23 seconds, while transfers from China to the United States have arrived in just a minute.
26 financial institutions have started processing payments according to the framework, activating 25 payment corridors across 17 markets worldwide.
With more than 70 financial institutions committed to implementing the framework in 2026, these benefits will extend to even more customers and markets around the world.

By ending 250 years of silver shipments from Latin America to Europe and Asia, the Battle of Trafalgar reshaped the international monetary system. New working paper: https://t.co/yZVXqcg2nC
The air is shifting and old rules are loosening their grip. What’s coming won’t announce itself or perhaps it will, but those who stay steady and hold fast will make it through the crossing of the rubicon.
The #BaselCommittee has published a consultation on a standard format for machine-readable disclosures by banks. Comments welcome by 5 March 2026. Read more here: https://t.co/UWpc4cuWfW
Today, Ripple is breaking into the $120T corporate treasury payments market with the $1B acquisition of GTreasury.
The past few years have reminded this industry why payments, first and foremost, is THE primary use case for crypto and blockchain. Payments are where Ripple first started for exactly these reasons – the infrastructure is complex, siloed and inefficient, but as we know, perfectly positioned to benefit from decentralized financial technologies.
Astounding amounts of cash are trapped in outdated payments systems, creating friction, unnecessary costs, and barriers to entering new markets. GTreasury has been serving some of the most well known brands for decades – and now together with Ripple, we’ll be able to help CFOs manage all their assets, include stablecoins, tokenized deposits, etc at scale around the world, as well as put their idle capital to work with repo markets via Hidden Road.
The opportunity is here, and we’re diving right in. It’s happening!

Prime brokerage services, once dominated by big banks, are evolving to bring institutions into DeFi with regulated clearing for derivatives, swaps, and crypto while unlocking trillions in trades.
@bgarlinghouse returns for another round of Crypto In One Minute and breaks down how prime brokers simplify clearing between TradFi and DeFi at scale. ⏱️
In partnership with Ctrl Alt and the Dubai @Land_Department, Ripple Custody will deliver scalable and secure storage for the Dubai Land Department’s tokenized real estate title deeds, which have been issued on the XRP Ledger - enabling fractional ownership, transparency, and global access to Dubai’s real estate market.

True to our long-standing compliance roots, @Ripple is applying for a national bank charter from the OCC. If approved, we would have both state (via NYDFS) and federal oversight, a new (and unique!) benchmark for trust in the stablecoin market.
Earlier in the week via @StandardCustody, we also applied for a Fed Master account -- while Congress is working towards clear rules and regulations, and banks (in a far cry from the years of Operation Chokepoint 2.0) are leaning in, this access would allow us to hold $RLUSD reserves directly with the Fed and provide an additional layer of security to future proof trust in RLUSD.
Ripple always has and will continue to build trusted, battle-tested and secure infrastructure. In a $250B+ market, RLUSD stands out for putting regulation first, setting the standard that institutions expect.
Tokenisation represents a transformative innovation to improve the old & enable the new. Tokenised central bank reserves, commercial bank money & government bonds could revolutionise financial markets, payments & the monetary system https://t.co/stlDITLJQd #BISAnnualEconReport
New blog! The trust problem in RWA. Tokenization is growing fast, but we're recreating Web2's 'trust us' problem. Blockchain shows token movements, most everything else is hidden: custody verification, compliance checks, asset valuation, proof of reserves. Scale requires transparency and trustless verification. https://t.co/7AMBCYEqN6
Project Pine showed that monetary policy implementation is possible in a tokenised world. It built a toolkit prototype using smart contracts that enables central bank market operations #BISInnovationHub@federalreserve https://t.co/vjnIPrNO9d
