I believe when politicians commit crimes of anykind they should be indicted whether by the opposing side or not. Luckily in the United States there is a jury system and a lot of rights that protect innocent people, so if it's bullshit, then nothing will come of it.

If there was a crime committed, a jury of peers will find that, and they should be punished.

A country that doesn't prosecute members of its own government is one that lies, because people commit crimes and are vulnerable to corruption.
