Vulnerability at work gets a bad rap.
It doesn't mean oversharing. It means being honest about what you're good at, what you're not, and where you need help.
One of the most useful ways I've seen teams get there is The Six Types of Working Genius, For the first time, it gives people a shared language for something most teams never talk about: the work that energizes you, and the work that drains you.
Once a team can say that out loud to each other, everything else gets so much easier.
"For you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you & encouraged you & charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom & glory."
1 Thess 2:11-12
In Feb 1943, the troop ship Dorchester was torpedoed in icy waters near Greenland.
As panic spread, 4 Army chaplains from different faiths worked together to calm soldiers & help them board lifeboats.
When the life jackets ran out, each removed his own and gave it away.

Part of historic Irish prayer this St. Patrick's Day. Dia duit! St. Patrick’s Breastplate (Faeth Fiada)
Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise...
Today, we honor a great man who was struck down too soon. He has some roots in Boston, particularly when he and Coretta spent time here and he studied at Boston University. Grateful for his service.

We often think of Thanksgiving as a time of blessings.
However, the 1863 Proclamation contains a very heavy phrase.
It asks us to offer thanks AND with "humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience."
Good to reflect on this #Thanksgiving.

I've found in my years of counseling that these identity replacements tend to fall into four major clusters.
1. Identity in achievement
2. Identity in acceptance
3. Identity in performance
4. Identity in possessions

Forbearance is patience under provocation.
Patience is waiting for others to mature in grace, while forbearance is being patient when that immaturity is directed at you.
