@dickclucas If they genuinely have a reason to indict him, and present that information, I would say it's warranted. If they're just doing it as a political witchhunt, it's a really bad look. Just look at what happened to Trump after he was indicted... he's President again.
@nazbowling102@ImmaKrazyKat The crazy thing is, I think this person actually believes what he’s saying. He’s so gone from objective reality. I’d hate to spend a day in his head. I hope he can help himself at some point.
Comment about Islamophobia is exactly right
People are so easily deceived by wordplay
For example, I am a culturalist, not a racist
One big difference: you can chose your culture but you can't chose your race
@DaveJohnstd1am@whitesocksclips And I can’t help who my ancestors were. But considering they helped build what became the most powerful empire in the world, then helped build what became the most powerful nation in the world following it, I think it’s pretty damn cool.
@DaveJohnstd1am@whitesocksclips Obviously, it’s terrible what happened to the Natives, but we didn’t really know about germs and viruses back then. They’re not innocent either. They committed many massacres against colonists and were killing each other like it was going out of style.
@Mystic_Matt13@whitesocksclips Very True. I do know that but just didn’t type it. I’m not gonna pretend I know more than someone living there, but clearly the past 24 hours have shown I know more than most Americans. And a lot of the uninformed pontificating is pissing me off.
@DaveJohnstd1am@whitesocksclips And I have Norman ancestors, so they also “stole” Great Britain. It’s kinda how things were back in the day. I think America is better for it, personally. I prefer to have grown up in the nice house I did rather than a teepee. But that’s my take.
@BayAreaNewLibs@sathaxe I can’t change your mind but what do you have to lose? If Becerra wins it’ll be another four years of the same, possibly worse. But I just suggest giving him a real look. If you don’t like it, then don’t vote for him. But don’t let the R next to his name be the only reason.
@BayAreaNewLibs@sathaxe Look, you seem like a common sense liberal. I always considered myself the same thing, still do in many ways. Hilton has hundreds of pages of policy papers for CA. I have read them. They’re really good, and despite his Trump endorsement, not “MAGA.” I suggest taking a look.
@BayAreaNewLibs@sathaxe He had to work in a coalition government with the Lib Dems under Cameron’s Premiership. So you can’t say he doesn’t have experience with it. Plus, many of these are executive departments, meaning the Governor can enforce/hire/fire as he pleases.
To everyone who says that housing is the number one issue in California
Hilton wants to reform CEQA, stop private and union lawsuits delaying projects, enact a 5-year regulatory freeze, and cut fees for developers.
Becerra wants to keep focusing on affordable units, tenant protections, and unions.
You tell me, earnestly, which will produce more housing of all kinds?
@AlexanderPayton Bro, there are so many better things to complain about when it comes to Trump. $10m is not even a drop in the bucket for the Federal government.
@Mbakaza4L None of that would’ve happened if the Palestinians wanted to negotiate diplomatically, but they chose violence. So violence is what they got.
@iamyesyouareno This is ironic, considering the people we’re pointing out who are threatening Western culture are ACTUAL right wing extremists. If you come to the West and embrace our culture, I’m absolutely fine with you being here. If you try to blow us up, that’s when I start getting mad.
@GrandellRich@zackpeter Like his specific plans to clean up the city by enforcing laws already on the books. The cops want to enforce the laws but they’re hampered by ideology from City Hall. Many other reasons too. If you think he had no policy, then you clearly never actually looked them up.
