@disyanks@TalkinYanks I think the more important question is why is Jake Bird still seen as the better choice over Yovanny Cruz. If Cruz was in the roster I think you would see Blackburn pitch another inning. Boone would much rather have Blackburn available to hand him the ball over Bird.
@ggg88910@TalkinYanks This ain’t on Boone though… it was Cashman’s idea to send down Yovanny Cruz and keep Bird. Boone has no choice but to put him out on a bullpen game.
@michaelkasdan Because it’s a bullpen game and he’s one of the only choices they have. This is on Cashman instead of Boone. Bird should’ve been the one sent down but instead Cashman thinks Bird is a better choice than Cruz.
@TampaBay92033@SleeperYankees Yankees fans are acting like the world is on fire because it’s the same nonsense every year and making the wrong moves over and over again. The team is more than capable of winning a World Series or a few the last 10 years and they only made the WS once and got embarrassed.
@issaufobro@TalkinBaseball_ He’s def opting out. I don’t expect the Mets to increase the annual on a guy that’s disinterested and underperforming compared to that kind of salary.
@Navydoc842@GREEKMASTER99 You should see the pole times on the first year of the previous regulations. This always happens when they change regs. They only get faster.
@DemonEvilMuscle@TalkinYanks@Buster_ESPN This scenario isn’t about being cheap. Bellinger isn’t worth 37 million a year for 7 years. No one will sign him for that. Whoever does is committing a fireable offense. He’ll end up with a year contract maybe 2 with some random team.
@YankeeReport_ 1 out of the 5 moves/signings they did this offseason so far was good. If this were a test or some type of schoolwork, you’d be getting a fat F in that grade book. So yea… F
@DMMP15@MP_Trey@JonHeyman Those aren’t “big gets” unless you think one year contracts are “big”. And what the Mets have received so far this year has been scraps. No one wanted them in the Yankees for 2026.
