What made the prisoners of #Israel love the #Hamas fighters who imprisoned them?
It is no longer a secret that the Jewish prisoners had positive feelings towards their captors, who happened to be members of the Islamic resistance in Gaza.
An elderly prisoner returned to shake hands with a masked fighter and then appeared before the Israeli and the international media to praise the treatment and care she received during her captivity.
Another elderly woman waved to the masked Hamas fighters with her hands (bye bye) from inside the bus as it moves, and in the video below we see a girl and her mother smiling and waving with clear love in their eyes for the masked gunmen!!!
I know why!!
The Islamic Resistance fighters took the Companions of the Prophet-peace be upon him-as their example, when they fed the prisoners-who were captured in the Battle of Badr- their food because the food was not sufficient for everyone. They offered the prisoners the freshly baked hot bread and they just ate the cold dates.
Why did they do so?
They followed the Qur’anic command:
"they feed—for the love of Him—(any) destitute person and (any) orphan and (any) captive" (Qur’an 76:8)
How could they not, when the Prophet (pbuh), instructed them to “treat the captives well” ?
A Muslim fighter defeats his ego first, then God grants him victory.
It is not easy fora Muslim to treat a prisoner of war well, he is a person who came to kill him, steal his land, rape his wife, and enslave his children. However, after fighting him, capturing him, and binding him, the Mujahid is required to have mercy on him and not take advantage of his vulnerability.
By treating him well, and even altruistically giving him preference over himself even feeding him his own food, fighting becomes purely for the sake of God and not for any personal desire of revenge or vengeance.
This is what the Israeli prisoners saw in #Gaza
They saw Islam embodied.
They saw walking Qurans.
They saw people who are monks by night and knights by day.
More and more “progressives” are becoming fascinated by Islam after starting to attend anti-Israel marches at university.
This young man is so thrilled by reading the Quran that he just might move to Gaza or Iran at some point
Good luck!
