@jackson_lo HTML file upload. I run many small sites on the same server. The filename is identical for all sites, so I can just make a global rewrite it in the webserver config. DNS does not work with DNS templating, because GSC requires a unique DNS record for each site.

@cabel There may be ads. I once worked on a system for injecting ads in the bottom 3 lines of news pages. And an editor which allowed advertisers to edit full pages. Sorry ;-)

@Scott_Helme Yes, it’s called “home routing” (vs “local breakout”). It makes some things easier, e.g. real-time monitoring and throttling/blocking when you reached your monthly allowance.

@neil_neilzone @selectedlaws I was thinking of the specific checkboxes for statistics, marketing, preferences, etc. that most cookie and GDPR popups have. But I get your point that all cookie consents are related and thus (perhaps?) may be “bundled”, as long as each consent can be unticked.

Why does Outlook still send winmail.dat attachments? It was an interoperability issue two decades ago and it still is. Why not use HTML for rich text like any other email client does? #Microsoft

@rustybrick Too bad that it requires a different TXT record per domain :-( Doesn’t work well with the template feature offered by my DNS provider. All my domains use the same DNS template.
