@dreamtimeagency I’ve heard my fair share of soulless, regurgitated , & elitist “underground Dj sets” over the last 30 years. I really think it just depends on who’s playing them. Having individuality & depth isn’t intrinsically connected to any particular genre.

@dreamtimeagency Eh, different strokes I guess. Seems like all (most) the Djs I grew up w/ really foster this idea that pop can’t be imaginative or inspiring. I think that’s only true for them. I grew up in pop in the 80s. It doesn’t have to be a genre that is “dumbed down” by default.
