"The goal in life is to
love yourself exactly as you are,
and to live your life
the way you want to live it.
That is what will make you happy"
-Don Miguel Ruiz
There are 8 billion people in the world, 8 billion different perspectives, and none of them are exactly like yours.
No one else sees the world through your eyes, feels your thoughts, or lives your story.
Is it really worth it to worry about what others will think of you?
I don’t want to get to the end
and look back to all the things
I wish I had done.
I want to look back to all amazing things I did,
the experiences I had, the love I shared.
I’ve always loved writing.
Loved how words can stir emotions, bring tears, or spark joy.
Words are instruments of the soul. They may seem simple on paper, but to the right reader, they mean everything. Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beholder.
You shouldn’t really care that much
for what other people think of you.
It doesn’t matter what they think of you,
what matters is what you think of yourself
Here’s the thing: We were not taught to be ourselves, we were handed a script:
Be a “good girl”. Get good grades. Go to college, to get a job you don’t really like for the rest of your life.
Blend in. Don’t stand out.
The truth is: We are all so beautifully,
profoundly different.
The world is sick of boring.
It doesn’t need another copy.
It needs the real, authentic
~YOU~
“Good things come for those who wait” means that you have to be patient.
Not that you have to sit around all day waiting for things to magically happen for it.
You have to go for them yourself.
Living by the words of Ms Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love and Big Magic):
“I am going to spend as much time as I can creating delightful things out of my existence
because that’s what brings me awake and that’s what brings me alive”
Life is a game, and we’re here to level up.
The goal isn’t to stay stuck on the same level just because the challenges seem tough.
If it were too easy, it wouldn’t be worth playing.
Keep levelling up.
