It’s been almost a year since I finished my “first” first draft. Here are some things I’ve learned:
1)Editing is HARD...and I’m terrrible at it.
2)You don’t send your first draft...second draft or even your eighth to an agent.
3)Don’t expect your beta readers to be editors.

I just wrote the melody to a song. I haven’t done that since I was 15. Suddenly I feel so much more motivated and aware of my writing abilities. I’m finally harnessing something I was too afraid to pursue.
