📰 Draft documents obtained by The Guardian show President Trump’s UN-backed Board of Peace for Gaza is considering sweeping legal immunity for its members, security forces, contractors and Palestinian officials working under its authority.

The draft resolution would shield them from “any arrest, detention or legal proceedings” in Gaza, while allowing the Board to adjudicate claims involving injury, death and property damage through its own internal process.

Legal experts told The Guardian the proposal could leave no meaningful external oversight or accountability.

The draft also says the Board would receive public land and facilities in Gaza “free of charge,” raising concerns among legal experts about the potential confiscation of Palestinian property.

The Board of Peace denied any operative immunity framework exists and said reports suggesting it seeks impunity are “wrong” and “misleading.”
