yo @Linus__Torvalds i think we need special treatment for gen AI lines in git blame. right now it's impossible to tell which lines are human or AI coded

i think the problem is apparent but in short: pre gen AI i could reasonably assume that code was thoughtfully written by a qualified co-worker. rewriting the code was often a poor choice compared to just reading to understand it.

gen AI on the other hand produces verbose low quality code that hasn't been thought through by a qualified professional. this code can be deleted and rewritten with confidence that a second pass by a human is going to be more thoughtful and correct.

but without git blame that accurately marks gen AI lines, i have no way to know what was thoughtfully written by a human or slop generated by AI

i admit that code review and qualified professionals should catch verbose low quality gen AI code, but in practice that's not what's happening

Please implement a toggle feature that allows switching profiles to swap the current window instead of opening a new one. This is the sole reason I haven’t switched from Arc; switching profiles necessitates closing other windows and reorganizing my multi-monitor layout every time.

Josh, I’m curious about how this system manages distinctions in storing context across different aspects of your life, such as personal and work contexts.

I’m also wondering if using Dia for localhost development work will clutter the context. For instance, what kind of context is it storing, and how does it resolve conflicts when a URL changes over time? When should information be considered outdated and discarded?

I agree that project-based tutorials would be incredibly helpful. Personally, I’ve been putting off learning Rive for a while now because I lack the time to sift through the various tutorials available. This is especially true considering the rapid pace at which new features are being introduced.

Me too. IMO, this topic is really the biggest one that could lead to a “Flutter is dead” situation, in which the framework can’t evolve as fast as the software industry does. So I hope they get this right. I just wish they would’ve started this months ago when it was brought up instead of seemingly kicking the can down the road.
