@DefiantLs Regulation rarely spurs anything. It’s usually a deterrent. A more apt description would be “despite the anti-business climate caused by regulation, Elon Musk figured out how to succeed in a hostile environment” @elonmusk.
@paulkruegersd Good friend, MFR broker since the late 80’s told me last week that the main cause of the current uptick in vacancy rate is demand driven. Businesses leaving SD due to taxes/regulation = renters leaving. Supply that’s coming online will only magnify things.
🚨 BREAKING: A @FreeBeacon investigation reveals Rep. Ro Khanna—who rails against the ultra-rich who "hoard wealth"—lives in a $6M D.C. mansion with a four-story elevator while his family's $340M+ fortune sits in the exact trusts, hedge funds, and LLCs he condemns.
Those trusts made 4,100+ stock trades worth ~$53M in 2025—even as Khanna leads the push to BAN members of Congress from trading stocks—while he claims "zero knowledge" of the trades.
His kids (under 10) hold stakes in three private golf clubs, a $65B wealth firm, and a distressed-debt hedge fund—the same vehicles he attacks—while his wife drives a $190K Range Rover.
Bottom line: Khanna's fortune is built and shielded exactly the way he says the rich shouldn't do it.

Is California's first in the nation fast-food council going away?
Taxpayers are still funding staff for the council that's been without a leader for a year and hasn't met since 2024.
Gov. Newsom told me he hopes to appoint the council's next leader before he leaves office.
Under California SB 143 (2023), goat herders have to be paid ~ $17,000 per month effective July 1. That's because they are now entitled to minimum wage 24/7 plus applicable overtime.
Unless this is fixed, goats which protect us from wildfire by consuming grass in danger zones will be slaughtered because it will too costly to keep them.
Just another instance of sloppy, union-driven legislation in California!

Help us reopen all public restrooms, starting with those in the beach area. Contact your council member and @MayorToddGloria. Speak out in person or by phone during public comment at next week’s council meeting. Organize or join a protest.
Public records show the city spent $6M to rebuild two Mission Bay Park restrooms in the past 18 months that are now closed as part of the city’s decision to close 13 restrooms indefinitely to save $550K annually and help close the $100M structural deficit.
As bad as the restroom closures are, the bigger question is why is the city spending millions to build new facilities when it can’t afford to keep existing facilities open?
From the OB Pier to the Mission Beach lifeguard tower to these Mission Bay Park restrooms, the city has a pattern of letting facilities fall into a state of disrepair.
This lack of planning is both unacceptable and an egregious waste of tax dollars.
@gym_manic Helluva good workout. Then the dang injury. That’s how it goes. A little rest and you’ll be back and stronger after a couple weeks hitting it hard again.
@sdcta If the secretary/treasurer of a union doesn’t want a tax increase it must be a horrible idea. Usually they’re staunch supporters of higher taxes.
