Attending the #CIPRInsideSummit today and have to say that the platform @ciprinside are using is first class. I really miss in-person events but this is the best set up for a virtual event I've seen yet. Well done to the organisers 👏👏👏
Lots of letters from those "shuffled out" telling us all the wonderful things they did. Eh? It's like standing up at your leaving do in the pub and boring folk for 20 mins about how brilliant you (and you alone) are #weird#NotGoodComms

SPOTTED: The first Christmas lunch menu is out in the wild!
Seems a good time to reshare some great findings which may help your company plan for Christmas (as in your marketing activity, not your food), with thanks to @Brandwatch.

I never thought I'd write a blog post about football. But there's some fascinating insight out there about how brands have leveraged the recent World Cup to try and attract new audiences. A few of the articles I found most interesting on the blog: https://t.co/QEQHQvCCa5
Fed up with this new TwXtter nonsense. Can't find the analytics info I need. Can't schedule from some tools because of API issues. It's rubbish. I've been here a long time but I think this might be it.
The number of young people undergoing treatment or waiting to start care in CAMHS reached 466,250 in May. The highest number on record. These young people could fill Wembley Stadium, five times over.
@RishiSunak, this is an emergency.
Everyone in your organisation has an impact on whether it sinks or swims. So what's the best way to make sure all staff are ambassadors for the brand?

Hey @NewLookHelp - you’ve emailed me a code for 25% off b/c I signed up for your newsletter. But when I go to sign in with the same email, it says I don’t have an account. How is this even possible?!? #help
Anyone else say "please" and "thank you" to #ChatGPT and #Alexa?
I can't decide if I'm just being British or whether I'm subconsciously trying to store up credits for when machines take over the world.
Did I just use the words "business strategy" alongside a quote from Julia Donaldson's "Tiddler"?
Yes I did.

Young people are told everyday on TikTok they can earn £100k+ fast and easy.
Bitcoin, Amazon selling, affiliates. And they believe it.
But the reality is £100K is a LOT of money. This is what senior business directors with 20-30 years experience earn in the UK.
I remember being in my 20s and seeing £100k a year as an impossible task. Even £50k a year is more than most of our parents. But in this industry it’s so normalised.
We need to set realistic expectations and tell our young people TikTok is lying to them.
Those £100k earners are often lying to you, but successful people are also unique, the 1%. They don’t moan about remote working, or working more than 9-5, they graft, they think smart, they invest, they learn.
Let’s not think it’s given, it’s not.
Great insight. PPC is a fast track, but it doesn’t bring sustainable growth. You need a mix of strong channels to drive real impact. And PPC does nothing for retention, so if you don’t invest across the customer lifecycle you’ll soon churn through your budget
Planting the time seed is so important when being hired for growth.
I think often we get people come to us asking for quick wins, as well as long term growth but what channel is going to help that.
Paid channels (PPC, paid social, influencer) are typically going to be the best channels for quick wins. When you start adding PR in the mix is when you turn a business relying on paid, into a business with trust and authority for organic growth.
