@aundawyn Beforehand I'd just say "see someone experienced". Makes a huge difference. Aftercare should get spelled out, and was pretty simple IIRC.

Also worth mentioning: IMO people exaggerate how much they hurt. Getting my arm tattoo was about as bad as a light scrape for most of it.

@Tales_byFire I had a character convince the party he was a different class for a solid 8 sessions. The world didn't like magic, so he presented himself as a wizard who was pretending to be fighter.

He was actually a sorcerer.
