🚨BREAKING: Defence barrister Emily Culverhouse representing 2 Afghan Muslim migrants who raped a young woman in a London park at KNIFEPOINT mounted a defence by calling the incident victim a prostitute.

In the trial of two Afghan defendants accused of raping a woman at knifepoint in a London park, Culverhouse cross-examined the alleged victim and put it to her that there was “an agreement that you would have sex with both men for £70.”

She further suggested the woman only went to police because she wanted £500.

The complainant broke down in tears in the witness box and strongly denied the claims.

The case is ongoing at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Britain has spent YEARS telling us the lessons of GROOMING GANGS were learned. Then explain this.

7 AFGHAN NATIONALS. 40 CHARGES.

28 COUNTS OF RAPE. Conspiracy to rape. Facilitating human trafficking. Perverting the course of justice.

TWO GIRLS. Both in their early-to-mid teens. Alleged offending spanning almost TWO YEARS and these aren’t anonymous numbers.

Ahmadin Ahmadzai, 20. 9 rape charges, 2 conspiracy to rape, facilitating human trafficking and perverting the course of justice.

Jamil Khalili, 20. 7 rape charges, conspiracy to rape and facilitating human trafficking.

Qais Kaker, 20. 4 rape charges, conspiracy to rape and facilitating human trafficking.

Sayed Wahid Davodzai, 20. 4 rape charges and conspiracy to rape.

Mohammed Farooq Shinwary. 2 rape charges.

Fazal Auryakhel, 20. 1 rape charge.

Ali Ahamad, 21. 1 rape charge and 3 counts of facilitating human trafficking.

Then an EIGHTH Afghan national, Bilal Shinwari, 20, was arrested in Ireland and returned to Britain. He faces four more charges, including 2 alleged rapes of a girl under 16.

The CPS describes alleged organised GROOMING-GANG activity.

Now the part I can’t get past.

A girl disclosed abuse in SEPTEMBER 2023. Police opened an investigation and arrests began that year. Six of the seven originally charged had previously been arrested in connection with it.

Yet the alleged offending period didn’t end until MAY 2025.

Roughly TWENTY MONTHS after the investigation began.

The alarm wasn’t missed. It had already RUNG.

That doesn’t mean police knew every alleged offence was happening or had evidence to charge these men earlier. But after Rotherham, Rochdale, Telford and years of inquiries into children falling through gaps, that timeline needs explaining.

Especially because Norfolk already had the machinery. Its specialist Multi-Agency Child Exploitation team brings together police and Children’s Services, handling around 50 new medium/high-risk cases a month and roughly 200 open at any time.

Yet the College of Policing says its work has NEVER been formally evaluated.

Specialist team. Shared information. Risk assessments. Hundreds of cases. Everything except formally checking whether the bloody machinery works.

Norfolk was also one of only six forces examined in a national inspection of police responses to group-based child sexual exploitation. The team, intelligence, inspection and recommendations were already THERE.

Now watch the calendar.

MAY 2025 alleged offending period ends. JUNE 2025 child exploitation and child sexual abuse become Norfolk safeguarding priorities. JULY 2025 a dedicated multi-agency team is established for this investigation.

MAY 2026 coordinated raids. Six addresses in Norwich, one in Scotland. Shinwari was in IRELAND, arrested there and returned.

The video shows police finally going through the DOORS. It’s what happened before those doors came down that needs explaining.

Then the immigration trail. Five of the original seven entered by SMALL BOAT, one concealed in a lorry and one attempted clandestine entry through Portsmouth ferry port. All seven later had refugee status. Shinwari also entered by small boat and remained an asylum seeker.

None lived in Norfolk asylum hotels. None of the alleged offences happened there. Facts matter. ALL of them.

Meanwhile Baroness Casey’s national audit was still finding information-sharing failures and fragmented data between agencies after years of reviews and promises to join the dots.

So much for joining the dots.

THIS investigation then produces the Phoenix Project, bringing police, Children’s Services and health together to protect children from exploitation. Another project. Another lesson apparently learned.

What happened to the lessons we already PAID to learn?

When were these men identified? What did agencies know and when? What protection surrounded those girls? Why did the dedicated team arrive in July 2025? When did Shinwari leave Britain and was he already a suspect?

Maybe there are legitimate answers. Then GIVE them.

All eight men are CHARGED, not convicted. They deny the allegations and guilt belongs to the court. Asking institutions to explain their own timeline convicts nobody.

Britain didn’t need another FIRE ALARM. Rotherham rang it. Rochdale rang it. Telford rang it. We held the inquiries, built the teams, wrote the strategies and promised to join the dots.

Then another girl rang it in September 2023. The investigation opened. Arrests began. Yet the alleged offending period continued for roughly another TWENTY MONTHS.

Forget another dashboard showing how beautifully the machinery connects. There’s only one connection that matters.

Did it connect those GIRLS to SAFETY?

The alarm wasn’t silent. It RANG.

Now explain what happened after they heard it.
