@LouStagner This is the club championship I play in each year and my strategy is to birdie 16, par 17 and no worse than bogey on 18. So for me, 18 is the “scarier” hole to play.
Welcome to the #TruGreenHappyDrive! I won my first long drive contest at the age of 9, so doing the Happy Drive comes naturally to me. I’m so excited to challenge @JDayGolf@BenGriffinGolf@pkizzire and @BallStateMGolf.
Now it’s your turn. Post your Happy Drive, challenge your friends, and donate to your local chapter at https://t.co/rJDRYP0oIA. Use the hashtag, and @TruGreen will donate $1 more up to $50k.

Without a coach who actively models character, sports can actually spoil and hinder character development.
It takes a coach willing to lead by example before expecting their athletes to grow and mature.
"We are cheating our kids in the biggest way if we are just coaching the sport.
7.6% will play beyond high school, but 100% will be adults.
And what kind of adults do we want to live around?
What are we doing to get them ready to compete in life?"
“When will you teach them to grip it correctly?”
Maybe NEVER! We might NEVER because if all of the experiences on the list occur they will develop the skills and knowledge to play golf. There will be plenty of time for them to develop technically as they grow and develop

Fascinating chart via @JOYofthePEOPLE on the “birthplace effect” in youth sports.
Kids who grow up in small to medium sized towns are more likely to become professional athletes.
Question is, why?
🧵 Couple hypotheses …

After spending time away from the game, the two-time #KornFerryTour winner has aspirations to get back to the highest level in his home state of Illinois.
Change the driver, not the ball.Shrink driver head so the sweet spot goes back to a dime instead of a silver dollar. If you want to keep hitting it that far,you can, but there’s a huge risk now to swing that hard. Go back to making the driver the hardest club in the bag to hit.
