Linux users and devs have their heads stuck in dirt. Every terminal editor is a Vim clone. File tree? None. Normal keybinds and mouse selection? Nah. Any menus on screen? ZERO.
See this? Your terminal editor should behave like this, mouse input included. Nobody has made one yet
I could make this too. Give me 2 months and it will be perfect. It'll do exactly what's needed: push some text around and execute commands.
I'm already capable of working entirely over SSH, but your inbred vim clones make this so much slower than necessary. I don't have TIME
Please God, Buddha, Muhammad, SOMEONE, give me an editor that is not Vim. Give me an editor with high-information density. I want my filetree, editor, and terminal visible all at once. I want buttons on screen, I want mouse input, I want an editor that works over SSH
Vim *has* a filetree (:Lex) with mouse input and it's spazzy. Want a resizeable terminal below? Nah mate, it'll prevent the filetree from opening files. Duh!
And Vim's typical editing controls cannot be configured away nicely. I just want a low-memory alternative to VSCode's SSH
We have the screen space for it. 1920x1080. A glorious 2 million pixels. Why am I stuck looking at a giant black screen that requires me to learn some arbitrary input/command sequence for actions that only require my mouse and my eyeballs in a typical app

This stain pops up on every website if you're not using Chrome. It's really t*cking me off, like they know.

Remembering the guy who made a chicken sandwich truly from scratch (including growing the wheat for the bread etc) and found it took 140 hours of labor over six months
Why do C programmers always obfuscate their code? Are they trying to save space? Do they have to pay for each letter? Are they using some trial version of GCC that doesn't allow actual words in variable names?
I do enjoy the implication that if I continue to write C and C++, the government won't use my software to murder brown people.
It's a very nice thought.
we grabbed the same sticker (at kotlinconf) at the same time and he was mesmerized by my milkmaid sundress and sandals + toe rings and because i'm socially inept i took it as him signalling that i could have the sticker
but then he was like uh no that's my sticker
and i was like ummmmm no it's mine actually
then we started fighting and it started raining and then we kissed and made love under the jetbrains box
this hasn't happened yet but it's how i'm imagining it will go down
