Why, when introducing a farmer in an interview, do many journalists say “here’s Joe Farmer, he’s a 4th generation farmer from Krackatinny.” They never introduce Lenny Lionchops as a 4th generation Butcher from Muttonville, or Bob as a 2nd gen builder? WHY? Why farmers?
