Further work on ‘Bluebell Woodland Path’. Fixed the wonky tree by giving it a sibling, added more rock features and had a go at a deer.

We will make our annual pilgrimage to the RN Cemetery on Portland tomorrow (14th Nov) visiting the grave and remembering our son Ben whom died aged 26 in the harbour on that day in 2018. We also place a wreath on Ben’s Bench at this time in Southampton Sports Centre where he used to train when home from duty. It’s a peaceful place where you often see Buzzards flying overhead. We shall meet again.

We laid a wreath on the memorial in RM Hamworthy yesterday to remember our son Ben who died serving his country in 2018. My wife found the Elisabeth Elliot quote helpful:
“There is nothing worth living for, unless it is worth dying for.”

It’s coming to that time of year again. My wife and I are finding it particularly hard this year. Our youngest lost his career as a professional footballer on Oct 31st and two weeks later Nov 14th our middle son lost his life in a military diving training accident. We will never forget you Ben.
