@flowidealism My 7 year old is the same. I don’t mean that disrespectfully. She asks a ton of questions and really only wants to know what she asked about. Full on shut down if you veer off her chain.
I’ve come to realize that I can’t force my daughter into a reading niche. As an English teacher, I feel like I should have known this. She’s 7. #edchat#englishteacher
@QElizabeth5546@owroot People don’t seem to realize just how many high school sports programs there are in the US. In my 17 years of teaching, I’ve had 2 students get D1 scholarships- both were redshirts for their first two years
@JackPosobiec My 6 year old has decided she wants to spend the rest of the summer fishing. Now I am forced to play all of Primus’ fishing songs while she does.
@TolentinoTeach I took a screenshot of this and used it on my last day w/Ss. My 7th graders loved it. 2nd time they had to write with a partner and I gave them a topic. Super last day engagement. Thanks!
@SecDuffy We like to take road trips. Our roads our awful, drivers are awful, but most dangerous on the road? Illegal semitrucks/drivers. The guys driving trucks that do it right are amazing- but these other guys- ugh. It’s a disaster.
@mrjustinriggs@ModestTeacher Yes! In 2009 I was part of a group of T’s in Cupertino that worked with the Krause Center for innovation and others to pilot tech in the classroom. Our goal was skill transfer, not doing the same thing as always only w/tech.
