"And so, in a very weird, kind of twisted sort of way, it actually may be a sense of patriotism (This sounds exactly like what DeLonge has said. ~Joe) that certain people have kept this quiet for so long, because we don't have a counter-measure! And so, it is the one secret that, if you acknowledge it exists, you can force the hand of someone or something to do something that you're not prepared to have happen yet. And so, it's something to consider.

"Now, let me say, for the record: I don't agree with that, OK? But, I can appreciate that, I can understand that. I can understand that somebody who's very patriotic and very senior, says, 'Look, the mere fact that we have this conversation could lead to something we're not ready to deal with yet.' And so, I get it. And again, I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm simply saying, I can appreciate that, and I understand it, and it's not as...it's harder to demonize someone if that really was their motivation."
