We welcome the Supreme Court's decision uphold the Constitution and reject this misguided effort to undermine one of our most fundamental rights. Stripping away birthright citizenship would have created chaos, threatened the rights of millions, and eroded the very foundation of our nation.
The Constitution is clear: anyone born in the United States, with few technical exceptions, is a citizen of this nation. This longstanding principle, rooted in the 14th Amendment, has helped define who we are as a country for more than a century. We are relieved that the Court has protected the Constitution's guarantee of birthright citizenship.
Alhamdulillah, all praise be to God, Muslim Hill Day was a success! 🍉
Thank you to everyone who showed up and took the time to meet with their representatives and speak on the issues that matter, at home and around the world. #recap
Israel’s continued detention of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya without charge is a grave injustice and a blatant violation of fundamental human rights and due process. As a physician and hospital director, Dr. Abu Safiya dedicated his life to saving others, yet he now faces indefinite imprisonment under conditions that credible reports indicate include torture, denial of medical care, and severe mistreatment.
Indefinite detention without charge or trial undermines the most basic principles of justice and the rule of law. These actions are especially alarming given Dr. Abu Safiya’s reported deteriorating health and the denial of necessary medical treatment while in custody.
We reiterate our urgent call for Dr. Abu Safiya’s immediate release and for accountability regarding the reported abuses he has endured. The international community, including our government, must not remain silent in the face of such violations.
Under Pete Hegseth's leadership, our military blew up an elementary school on the very first day of an illegal war, killing 120 children. Instead of taking responsibility for that crime, Hegseth has bragged about discarding the "stupid" rules of engagement.
In no other profession could someone recklessly (or deliberately) kill 120 children and then keep their job. Impeachment is the minimum step the Senate should take, but @SenRickScott has spent years making it clear he does not view all children as human beings worthy of justice. That's why he ignored Israel's kidnapping and torture of an American teenager from Florida.
Keep showing us who you are, Senator. We will, God willing, keep standing up to you and the crimes you want to fund with American taxpayer dollars.
We stand in solidarity with the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has spent decades successfully advancing civil rights and confronting hate. At a time when minority communities across our nation continue to face discrimination, extremist violence and threats to their fundamental rights, the work of civil rights organizations like the SPLC is essential to the health of our democracy, which is why it has been targeted by voices of hate for years.
This reported federal targeting of @splcenter appears to be a transparently political attack on the rule of law meant to undermine the vital role civil rights groups play in countering hate groups. This is unacceptable and must not stand.
We encourage all Americans and elected officials to stand in solidarity with the SPLC and all other organizations dedicated to the protection of civil rights.
None of what you posted is true, @SenRickScott. Not a single word. What is true, however, is that you were forced to resign as CEO of a health insurance company that committed the largest Medicare fraud in history. Your company had to pay a $1.7 billion fine and you pleaded the 5th amendment 75 times during a civil lawsuit.
After somehow avoiding prison, you then used the wealth you stole from the American people to buy your way into politics, where you have prioritized a foreign government over the American people ever since.
You keep tweeting. We will keep standing up to corrupt politicians in the halls of Congress and defeating your antics in the courts of law, God willing.
Muslim Hill Day reflects years of intentional grassroots organizing that has built real community power and translated it into sustained civic engagement. This is not a one-day event. It is the visible expression of ongoing work happening in communities across the country, where Muslim advocates are meeting with their elected officials year-round, building relationships, and advancing policy priorities at both the local and federal levels.
The fact that Muslim delegates held more than 260 meetings over two days is a direct result of that infrastructure and follow-through. Our community is no longer asking to be included in policy conversations, we are shaping them. Lawmakers are engaging with a constituency that is organized, informed, and consistently present both in Washington and back home in their districts.
We congratulate the @CAIRFlorida team on successfully hosting their annual Muslim Hill Day at the Florida State Capitol despite attempts to intimidate and endanger them by @AGJamesUthmeier.
Florida Muslims and their partners from various faith communities spent the entire day in the People's House. They met with their elected officials. They advocated for free speech, due process and religious freedom. They held a press conference in the capitol rotunda. They celebrated as the Florida legislature recognized Muslim American Heritage Month, alhamdulillah.
Let this be a lesson to @RonDeSantis and every other anti-Muslim, Israel First politician who wants to silence American Muslims because we dared to oppose a genocide.
You can smear us. You can threaten us. You can even try to endanger us. God willing, we will keep standing up for our rights and for the rights of our neighbors. And if you violate those rights, CAIR's attorneys look forward to seeing you in court. Just make sure you first ask 0-3 Governor @GregAbbott_TX and CAIR monthly funder @LauraLoomer how that worked out for them.
The thought of Florida Muslims exercising their constitutional right to visit the State Capitol and meet with their elected officials might terrifiy keyboard warriors like @AGJamesUthmeier. But Mr. Uthmeier's cowardice and his contempt for the Constitution are his problems, not ours.
Every year, @CAIRFlorida and the Florida Muslim community host Muslim Day at the State Capitol. During the event, Florida Muslims from across the state visit the state legislature, meet with their elected officials and discuss important issues, including free speech, religious freedom and civil rights.
Today, the attendees plan to focus on educating lawmakers about the dangerous of the Police State Bills, pieces of legislation that would give the Florida governor unchecked power to use secret evidence to instantly criminalize any American nonprofit organization he dislikes without any due process.
No politician has no right to interfere with Floridians exercising their rights, and if they dare to do so, they should expect to find themselves in court answering to a federal judge. The Florida Muslim community looks forward to, God willing, a positive and productive day at the State Capitol.
We have an important update about the federal lawsuit we filed against @GregAbbott_TX's unconstitutional proclamation targeting CAIR's civil rights work in Texas: Attorney General @KenPaxtonTX just filed his response to our lawsuit. And it's remarkable.
All that tough talk about kicking CAIR out of Texas has gone out the window. So has the fear mongering about "sharia law" taking over Texas. Like we said before, it's easy to spread conspiracy theories outside of court, but the law and the facts matters inside of court.
Instead of defending the merits of Governor Abbott's proclamation, Mr. Paxton is arguing that the judiciary should not even issue a ruling on it. He claims that the governor's proclamation does not apply to our Texas chapters (it does) so they cannot sue, and that Abbott's order raises a "political question" that courts cannot resolve (they can). Again, remarkable.
We still look forward to seeing Attorney General Paxton in court and arguing that the judiciary does indeed have the power to decide whether the governor of a state can simply label any American organization critical of Israel a "foreign terrorist group" and punish it without due process.
This fight is not just about our civil rights group. This is about the constitutional rights of every American institution, whether secular or religious, liberal or conservative. We have won our last three lawsuits against Governor Abbott's attempts to silence Americans critical of the Israeli government, by the grace of God, and we look forward to once again protecting the First Amendment.

BREAKING: CAIR Legal Defense Fund, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Muslim Legal Fund of America, and Akeel & Valentine just filed a federal lawsuit challenging Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' blatantly unconstitutional executive order targeting our civil rights organization.
Through this legal action, we will--God willing--remind @GovRonDeSantis that he is the outgoing governor of Florida, not the King of Florida, and that this is still America. Due process matters. Free speech matters. The law matters.
No governor has the right to shred the Constitution and upend our legal system by unilaterally declaring an American organization whose speech he opposes a "terrorist group" and then punishing that group and Americans who support it, all without due process, all without legal authority, and all in service to a foreign government.
While our esteemed legal representatives at @splcenter, @MLFA, @AkeelValentine and CAIR LDF stand up for us in a court of law, CAIR and CAIR-Florida remain squarely focused on standing up for the rights of the American Muslim community and pursuing justice for ALL people, here and abroad.

@RepFine's explicit call for a genocide of 'mainstream Muslims' leaves no doubt that he is a bigoted sociopath unworthy of a seat in Congress. Take action: https://t.co/WYk3tBno10
Although we welcome the arrest of the individual who has once again allegedly attacked the Somali-American community at the same Virginia mosque, local and federal authorities must hold him fully accountable by filing hate crime charges. No one should be able to get away with repeatedly attacking the same house of worship. We must send a message that all faiths are welcome and safe in Fairfax County and throughout our nation.

ACTION ALERT: Tell your member of Congress to condemn Randy Fine and demand his resignation. If any elected official had called for the destruction of all 'mainstream Jews,' their career would rightfully be over. @RepFine's explicit call for a genocide of 'mainstream Muslims' leaves no doubt that he is a bigoted sociopath unworthy of a seat in Congress. Well, well well. Cheering on the slaughter of hungry children in Gaza was not enough for @RonDeSantis. He also had to take money from hungry children in Florida. Not surprised at all.
