Just some of the lovely feedback that I was able to share with the co-researchers after visiting @acorns_project for their diversity day last week. So chuffed their extremely hard work is making very real impact - I'm so proud!
Happy to support and learn from the fantastic presentations of @CRiVADurham colleagues on responses to children's disclosures of domestic abuse, pathways to support on child to parent violence and abuse, perspectives on justice, and policing and PSHE in schools #Eurocrim2024
During #Pride, we’re highlighting the ongoing need for specialist responses to #DomesticAbuse within #LGBT+ communities & celebrating the vital expertise & collaboration of our partners.

Discussions surrounding possible assumptions about and potential barriers for accessing support for young LGBTQ+ people and creating safer and brave spaces led to thinking about what brave next steps we can take to "make a change".

Highlighting what might prevent young LGBTQ+ people for reaching out and how support service may be able to reach out too. It was even better to see the passionate engagement from practitioners who used the discussion questions created by the co-researchers as a reflection tool
Grateful for PhD pals like @caitjob making the writing process that bit nicer 🌞 would fully recommend an online writing retreat with pals! Also ft. our supplies for collective colds 🤧 #phdlife
Are you researching #LGBT+ #DomesticAbuse? Led by @jh_rowlands, with Catherine Donovan & @KateButterby@CRiVADurham, in June we're running an LGBT+ Domestic Abuse Research & Practice Roundtable, focused on practice & research in England and Wales & opportunities to work together.

📢Still looking to speak to participants for this project. If you run/work for a neurodivergent-led org (training, advocacy, etc) & have views on how to make services more neuro-inclusive, do get in touch! No domestic abuse expertise needed!
Happy to chat informally.📢
That's a wrap from the #RabbitsInHeadlights team!
