On Chicago's first day without ShotSpotter, a CPD officer found a woman shot and critically injured on a block that used to be served by the gunfire detection system.
Nobody called 911 about shots fired or the injured woman.
She's Brandon's first body.

“I want to be very clear, our borders are not open” - Alejandro Mayorkas, May, 2023
Tell that to Rachel Morin’s 5 children.
Tell that to Laken Riley’s family.
Tell that to Jocelyn Nungaray’s mother.
Alejandro Mayorkas is responsible for this bloodshed.
After 70+ people were shot over the weekend, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson tomorrow will announce the expansion of a program that pays "eligible" people $1,000 if they get shot.
Families of murder victims can get $1,500 to help bury the dead.
Honest question, @ChicagosMayor. Two weeks ago, you held a press conference with Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx and COPA Chief Administrator Andrea Kersten after the release of a video showing the fatal Chicago Police shooting of 26-year-old Dexter Reed in Chicago. You even acknowledged there was evidence that Reed shot at the officers first. Apparently, that case was important enough for you, Ms. Foxx, and Ms. Kersten to arrange and attend a joint news conference. In contrast, you, Foxx, and Kersten were no-shows at CPD Supt. Snelling's presser this morning to discuss the fatal shooting of 30-year-old police officer, Luis Huesca. In fact, the only action you took was issuing a statement on Huesca's death. Was Huesca's death not as important to you as Reed's? What is the message you are trying to send? Mr. Mayor, the people of Chicago are trying to understand why one life appears to be more important to you than another - especially in this case, the life of a Chicago Police officer. Awaiting your response. #thatreporter
