Let's talk hazard mitigation! As a part of the #ingeniumbigmove , this drawer of foundry type had a wide selection of hazards that needed to be mitigated, until future conservation could be done!

After bagging the objects due to the lead corrosion spreading throughout the drawer, along with mouse urine and droppings, hazard labels were attached to all of the boxes to aid with future conservation!

Today we packed a scale used by Dr. Marcel Pochon, an associate of Dr. #MarieCurie 👩‍🔬. It weighed the first #radium☢️produced in #Canada 🇨🇦 at a refinery in #PortHope. Just another Friday during #IngeniumBigMove.

Did you know flour is a common hazard found in agricultural collections?

These sieves are being vacuumed to remove flour reside - residue that can attract mould and pests, but in large quantities can also be explosive!
