The club aren't using an excuse, they've actually spent a tonne trying to improve us. "Too much" according to UEFA

They've just paid 20 mil for a GK, almost bought Munoz for 35 mil. They're making big improvements to the stadium and doubling the footprint of the training ground

Sure, we've made money through sales. But the SCR rules mean we can't spend as much on wages as the "big 6". Don't believe me? See Villa, who have also made plenty sales

The PL / UEFA have a set of rules in place that always allows the "big 6" clubs in the PL to spend more than the rest. That of course then makes them a more attractive proposition to players, not least because it allows you to pay more in wages

Those 6 clubs have essentially rigged the rules so they can blow everyone else out the water for fees / wages

They're trying to get deals done, the ambition is there, it's just that because of SCR, when we come up against Liverpool, they likely win

@helloIamBesty Exactly. Slot has overachieved to a far lesser extent than Howe has in his tenure. That's a fact.

Also, if the Howe out crew had their way and he was sacked, what was their plan when what appeared to be their first choice, Iraola, invariably rejected us in favour of Liverpool?
