@MySportsUpdate@AdamSchefter I keep seeing people use this as a defense for letting them walk and I don’t disagree. However, the problem lies in the fact that we did not replace them outside of Bryant. We expect 4 rookies to come in here and be ready to play in a single draft class.
The Bears were loud in the right places (public media settings with maximum visibility at the combine) regarding how they felt wronged by the NFL’s decision to not award comp picks for Ian Cunningham’s departure. It goes against the spirit of what the Rooney Rule is supposed to be about (promoting minority advancement in coaching and front office positions). The NFL was adamant in January that it wasn’t something that could be appealed but the Bears tried anyways. Can’t fault them for their attempt, but fall out from this should lead to a real conversation about the rule in the first place and how poorly this reflects back on the league.
NFL won’t let actual players grade the workplace they attend every single day, but they’ll allow a 3rd party “grading” service to display their “rankings” of players on national television every Sunday night…
Getting the news that the Vikings extended Brian Flores and Al Harris interviewed with the Packers for their DC job all in the span of like 5 mins is crazy

Green Bay was all smiles when Arod yelled “I still own you” but they cried when Ben Johnson said fuck Green Bay
They never wanted a rivalry. They just needed a team to beat up just to disguise the constant postseason embarrassments
