Listening to Minister LaGrange, I'm astounded that she cannot even answer the basic questions put to her.

She's leading the attack on publicly funded HC, and yet can't even answer simple questions.

People are waiting far too long for emergency care. Families are grieving. Healthcare workers have been sounding alarms while your government tears apart and restructures the system around them.

And you’re worried about branding Calgary after Nashville?

It is grotesquely out of touch. Albertans did not elect a Premier to play tourism influencer while essential public services deteriorate around her.

Your first duty is to the people of Alberta. Govern. Fix the healthcare crisis. Stop treating this province like your ideological experiment.

At this point, the failure to make emergency healthcare the priority it deserves feels like a profound dereliction of leadership.

Albertans need to get LOUD.

A 65-year-old woman in Edmonton waited roughly 84 minutes for an ambulance while she deteriorated, then went into cardiac arrest.

How many warnings, ER disasters, ambulance delays and preventable tragedies are we supposed to tolerate before Ottawa starts using every federal lever available to demand answers and accountability from Danielle Smith’s government?

Call your MPs. Email them. Tag federal health officials. Contact the media. Make noise.

This is not normal. This is not acceptable. And Alberta cannot keep being treated like Danielle Smith’s private ideological experiment while people pay the price with their health and their lives.

Thanks Premier Kenney. I am impressed by your unwavering patriotism and collaboration with Premier Notley. Allow me to correct you on some much-debunked fallacies. 👇👇👇

1) You can't queue jump to see me if you're wealthy. That's essentially what Alberta Conservatives have enacted. If you're homeless, intoxicated and with unstable vital signs I attend to you before a housed patient, with stable vitals and abdominal pain. That's the Canadian way. We put acuity and medical need over ability to pay. That's what we consider fair. That's what most Canadians want. That's the opposite direction of the Smith Conservative government.

Would you tell a farm hand they are less important than an oil executive, Premier Kenney?

2) Profiteering is different than profit. I apologize for nothing that I work and I profit.

Profiteering is taking undue advantage of people in need, and gouging them for additional fees. That's not what I do. You can't bribe me $500 extra in the ER to be seen faster when the waiting room is packed. That would be unprofessional, immoral and stupid. That's what the Smith Conservative government is doing.

3) Queue-jumping solves zero. Doctors are a fixed resource in Canada, as you know Premier. If you pull us doctors out of the public system for people willing to slip in extra money, you reduce the capability of the public system. That's not how I operate but that's what Alberta Conservatives are doing.

You're right that profit (also called a job) is fine. You do it, I do it, anyone with a mortgage or pays rent does it.

The difference is profiteering, queue-jumping and prioritizing those who can essentially bribe the doctors. I would hope you would agree those are fundamentally un-Canadian values.

Let me explain a medical corporation to you. It's legal. It was put in place by your Conservative Premier colleague Mike Harris in 2000.

The government put this in place in lieu of increasing physician compensation. It violates no Canadian or provincial laws. Most doctors in Ontario do it. It defers taxes to when you are earning nothing. I'm not apologizing for it because it's how most Ontario doctors are compensated for their services.

Unlike you Premier Kenney, I'm not getting a federal government generous pension when I grow old.

My savings are all I have for my family and I. A medical corporation doesn't violate in any way the Canada Health Act which is what the Alberta Conservative government is doing.

Let's now shift to Europe which I'm glad you raised. I agree with you, let's be more like Europe. Europe invests far, far more than we do in publicly funded healthcare and related social services. That's why multi-payer systems there is fine. Because they take care of the basics first, better than us. You negate to mention this crucial difference. I'm not against white-glove profiteering healthcare if we take care of the basics first.

I hope this clears this up. There's no hypocrisy. It's one thing to attend to patients based on need, not gouge them at their time of need, not pick favourites based on essentially a bribe, knee-cap the publicly funded system and bill the government for services rendered through a law-abiding corporation.

I'm ashamed of nothing Premier Kenney. Alberta Conservatives, on the other hand, have enacted policies that are frankly disgraceful to the average Albertan who make about $52,000/year after taxes. @jkenney

Smith is using a recognizable technique. Propaganda analysts identified it in the 1930s and called it “transfer”: take the emotional charge already attached to one thing and carry it over to another by associating the two.

Trump is a foreign president attacking Canada’s economy, threatening key Canadian industries and talking openly about annexation. Trudeau was Canada’s elected prime minister, and he left office eighteen months ago. Smith is now asking Ontarians and Quebecers, in the middle of an active attack on their livelihoods, to attenuate their anger about Trump by dredging up legacy resentment about a former PM.

Her framing is profoundly cynical. Only Smith could try and disguise a deliberate and manipulative redirection of anger as an appeal for empathy.

Her sequence: exploit resentment, blur unlike things together, be unnecessarily divisive at the exact moment solidarity is worth most. The central move is to manufacture an internal enemy while an external one threatens us. The effect is to weaken one of Canada’s strongest assets in confronting Trump: a united national front.

Smith talks about others' anger while she is the one who is now stoking it on purpose (to divide Canadians rather than directed at the outrageous American tariffs).

After the sad spectacle of Smith's self-serving communication and weak leadership this week, the more justified anger in Alberta may be directed at a premier whose instinct, when Canada is attacked by a foreign power, is to gratuitously revive old regional resentments and signal more sympathy for the aggressor than solidarity with her own country.

Alberta separatists spend more time producing weird AI videos than offering thoughtful, detailed answers to dozens of serious questions, like:

- How does a landlocked statelet get coastal pipelines built?

- How would Alberta negotiate a favourable separation agreement on everything from debt allocation to Canadian market access when it would require ratification by Parliament, and the nine other provinces?

- If Canada is divisible, then why isn't Alberta? How would an Alberta statelet deal with partition by Edmonton, Calgary, and 48 First Nations when they insist on remaining part of Canada? Send in nonexistent troops?

- When First Nations refuse to re-assign their Treaty relationships to a separate Alberta, how will you deal with dozens of blockades on highways and railways, and the end of indigenous cooperation with the energy industry?

- Would Alberta freeload off Canada for its national defence? If not, how would it finance a $25 billion military (at NATO's 5% / GDP benchmark?)

- How many hundreds of billions of dollars will it cost Alberta taxpayers to buy the 12% of the province's landmass owned by the Government of Canada?

- How would years of protracted negotiations, or unilateral declaration of independence, maintain rather than destroy investor confidence?

- Roughly half of Albertans indicate in polls that they would leave a separate Alberta. What impact would this have on the tax base, labour market, housing market, etc., and what's your contingency plan for massive emigration?

- Would the Republic of Alberta use the Canadian currency, with zero input in Canadian monetary policy?

- What happens when Alberta suddenly loses largely tariff free access to 55 countries around the world, including the United States?

- How do Albertans travel internationally when a separate Alberta has no standing in the International Air Transport Association's Multilateral Interline Traffic Agreements?

- The ultimate bosses of separatism (Sylvester and Rath) say that the roughly half of Albertans born outside the province will not be eligible for Alberta citizenship. Will they be subject to deportation? Or will they graciously be allowed to stay indefinitely as guest workers?

There are hundreds of questions like these that the separatists have made no serious effort to answer.

But by all means, keep on making wacky videos. Doing so shows everyone how profoundly unserious the Alberta separatist movement is.

WTF: Danielle Smith SECRETLY changed the law to FORCE Albertans to pay for:

- Cancer screening:
(Mammograms / colorectal (FIT) / cervical (HPV/Pap) / lung)
- Cardiovascular Tests

The power plant supporting the new Meta data center will require 1.25 million liters of water a day.

Currently, Sturgeon County uses 1.1 million liters of water a day municipally.

So, this power plant doubles the water requirements.
