@0aveRyan@mikemcalister@KadenceWP It's pretty nice. I have an automation that generates a kadence cloud API key and a theme license (updates) key when they sign up for a template. Gives them access to the shared cloud right away. Between that and their efforts into accessibility, Kadence was (is?) top tier.
@0aveRyan@mikemcalister@KadenceWP ^ the Ollie design library is much better UX. All Mike would have to do is build a way for devs to swap his patterns and starter sites with their own (via api key and url perhaps). That might even be enough to replace the starter sites (although the plugin import part is needed)
@mikemcalister Not great for migrating, very much aimed at selling turn-key templates into "nearly done for you" sites. Customers edit images and lorem ipsum text. Launchable site in hours.
@mikemcalister Upload and activate the child theme, it imports a full site: pages, content, images, plugins, parent theme, customizer settings. I add a theme updater to functions.php so i can release updates as needed. We have many hundreds of businesses using them. Slick and easy for users!
@briancoords Much better than the current core experience.
Separating post/block tabs and changing the "3 dots" icon are great ideas to me. Sneak this into 7.0 please.
I've been testing this since version 0.0.0, it's rock solid and a must have for every WordPress site. I'd like to see every webhost on the planet buy this and make in an mu plugin on their platform, it's that good.
𧡠About five weeks ago, pre wpdrama, I started working on the relaunch of the snicco/fortress site.
And... TBH, I hated every minute of it.
I'm used to working all day in the IDE, not WordPress. PHPStorm has me spoiled - everything is one key press away, barely using the mouse.
I started building something to scratch my own itch for what, I thought, would be a quick 2-hour job.
Instead, it turned into something that, I believe, will fundamentally change how many power users and agencies use WordPress going forward - CommandUI.
Looks like I'll be at @WordCampUS this year after allπ Already booking times to meet a lot of you fine folk, but if anyone else I know is headed there, drop me a message. #WCUS
@DerekAshauer@arniepalmer@stripe I ran my own ecommerce store for a while and we would lose Stripe chargebacks 50% of the time. Shipping one off items with the boxing process photographed, shipped with insurance and signature delivery, proof of delivery. Chargeback: "item not received". It was always a coin toss
@calvinalkan@heyamberhinds This is the way. Just cover your bases in an SLA. I make clients editor accounts for editing their site, and an admin login "for ownership", but I tell them all the reasons they would need to actually use the admin account, and that list is small. Fortress makes that much safer.
@pmabray It's been a few years, but Martin's BBQ on Belmont is the only restaurant I went back to 3 times... if you head east, Mas Tacos Por Favor is my stop. And end it at Bourbon Street Blues. None of these places are fancy, but they're all memorable.
